Gives a lot of fun and interesting readings but you really have to analyze them well because she loves asking questions in class. Motherly and tells a lot of funny stories related to the topic at hand. Final project for this class was a play. She has high standards but getting a line of 1 from her is really satisfying.more

She does give a lot of requirements and has high standards. Yung class niya yung pinakamabigat this sem para sa akin. But it's all worth it. You may not get a high grade but by the end of the sem, you know you've learned a hell lot from her. Basta alam naman ni Ma'am kung binibigay mo yung best mo o tinatamad ka. Mabait din, approachable, funny.more

Ma'am's readings are all very interesting and she's such a fun professor. She's quite strict about tardiness and attendance though, and her tests are difficult.

Strict si Ma'am sa attendance. Sa amin, dalawang reflection papers lang tapos yung four major papers yung ginawa. May reporting din na by group. Super mabait and patient si Ma'am, tapos very motherly and makwento. Sa sobrang galing ni Ma'am, parang ang hirap makakuha ng mataas na grade sa kanya, pero worth it kunin si Ma'am! <3more

Strict si Ma'am, oo totoo yan. It's true that she made my sem a hell sem with all her deadlines and requirements and everyday recitations! But I don't-- and won't ever-- regret taking her class. She's really good, really, truly good. I personally think that she's one of the best professors you can ever have in UP. Worth it sya, promise.more

Sabi ni ma'am she purposefully gives her students a hard time at the start of the sem so she would know who are the brave souls worthy to be in her class lol her terror aura is just a facade. Ma'am is very motherly. More importantly, she is a very good lit prof. truly her standards are high but a line of one will never be more satisfying ^_^more

Yes, it is a very difficult subject, no doubt about it. I don't regret taking her class since I learned a lot from this class. I'd say don't take her class if you are only after a high grade.more

Ang intimidating niya talaga at first pero ang saya na kapag nagkkwento na siya and nagsisingit ng mga mini-discussions re: current events. Recitations all the way so make sure you have read the assigned readings before class. Don't take her if you just want an easy uno; take her if you really want to learn! <3more

Eng 11 is difficult. Ma'am already told us that if we expect an uno, it's a tough sem ahead. No, I didn't get the uno but I definitely learned a lot. She's very strict with attendance and calls random names for recitation. She may be intimidating at first, but she's just so motherly. SHE TEACHES WELL; I'M ALWAYS EXCITED FOR THIS CLASS. Di ka lang matututong magsulat, marami ka ring mapupulot na life lessons from her readings and also from her personal experiences. Palagi akong nakangiti pagkatapos ng class except nung one time na na-bv sya kasi may classmate akong di nakapag-basa ng readings. PLEASE make an effort if u want to pass her subject. Ma'am is great, she really loves what she does and it shows in her teaching style. Warning, there are a lot of requirements, but they're all pretty fun. She's real savage in grading, but I guess that's just how we grow.more

Demanding siya, mahirap maguno pero kaya kapag alam mo kung ano gusto niya(di ko alam pero 1.75 ako) 10% yung attendance so magattend ka na. Kahit late basta wag absent. 3 major papers with short preparation time so do all the incentives bc it will help you A LOT. She is very particular w format. I don't know how other people can say that this class was unoable because I (and I think it's safe to say my other classmates) really struggled with this class.
