Hard on format and evidence, still A-able

Hi I took her for Enlit here's how it went: She's okay. If you want your writing skills to be challenged you got the right person. She is hard on formats, analysis, and a lot of textual evidences. I got a B+ from her (I made her subj a backburner) but with max effort I think she's pretty A-able Miss Keishce is a very spiritual person. Make sure to baon theological wisdom. Her readings are more on spiritual journey or personal identities. She is very kind and approachable She is considerate with the deadlines just voice out your needs and she will just ask for a reason why but she'll approve it anyways! She is gentle and will let you build your own perspective in the social issues present in our readings. She chose unique readings for us which made me enjoy but as the sem is coming to an end, the readings became slightly boring. She continuously gave us reminders to be fair and be humane towards everyone and everything. A really nice and approachable prof. She gives VERY VERY SPECIFIC feedbacks on your paper. She loves annotations. Generous with credit points Replies fast. Lagi ko siya kinukulit on why I got 4/5 in our annotation and she explains it nicely naman She is fair in grading with this I mean she wants very specific annotations with very little mistakes or else you'll get low grades. Always answer her guide questions kung pwede lang isulat niyo na rin yung guide question on top of your answer because sometimes she doesn't notice that you already answered the question. She is hard on thesis statement because she wants your essays to revolve around it. Workload is quite heavy. We have 2-3 assignments every week. She loves annotations and those annotations need to be specific and in-depth, sometimes we have take home worksheets about an assigned reading. She is too calm and soft spoken and will make you feel sleepy during class and make the class less engaging. Sometimes other workloads are unnecessary. She is new so be patient with her sudden changes in instructions because I think she's still figuring things out. She uses hypothesis and turnitin for her submissions and annotations. Since she's new she likes thrill and will make twists in her final output. So keep an eye on that I had difficulties in accomplishing her comparative analysis of two different reading texts with the same theme and create an overarching thesis. In terms of essay she wants a specific format the intro should start with a background on the reading, and then thesis. Every paragraph should follow a "sandwich format" topic sentence, supporting details(provide at least 3), and end it with a closing statement (should always prove your thesis). Her recitations do not matter much. You should recite every once in a while but you can also sleep in her class and she won't mind as long as you accomplish her requirements. Very heavy intersession; A with effort

took her for intersession '24-'25 sessions - starting siguro 2nd to 3rd week of june, we only had onsite 3x a week to work on our assessments - she takes attendance strictly at the start of the class (half cut kapag late) teaching style - uses ppts and uploads it - has a quiz about the reading before the session - shes very detail oriented workload/requirements - very heavy... - ngl i felt like an english major during intersession 🤣 - shes very particular when it comes to details. she will nitpick your work when there's holes (but she'll say it nicely) - we had weekly worksheets that contributed to our major assessments - 2 major assessments: 1 film analysis presentation, 1 infographic + presentation grading - maam kinda has high standards - a with effort overall thoughts - i stress that shes very detail oriented. during our presentation, she commented how we didnt use phones and instead talked to our audience (so i am assuming may bawas if u read off a script?) - she also grades recitation weekly. kasama ang enthusiasm sa grading HAHAHAH (not jking) - shes very kind. she will help u as long as u ask nicely - she also moves dls basta we ask :3more

Currently taking enciso for engl 11 - Honestly a hit or miss bc she’s nice and chill naman but sooooo unclear when it comes to instructions. And when you follow her unclear instructions, she deducts points even when she is the one who instructed us to do so. - Face to face classes rarely fruitful or necessary. She just share screens the canvas modules and spends the next 30-40 mins reading the screen. Does not allot enough time for consultation on non-consultation days. - Asks for feedback but has no intention of taking it! Always gets offended or defensive of the students’ feedback. - Weird grading system, says whats on the canvas is the final grades when it shouldn’t always be the case because of possible mistakes in computation (ex. a task worth 1-2% of the grade left unsubmitted can pull your 97 grade to a 74 and she takes it as so) - A- able with effort but it won’t really be the best experience and you will go insane (especially when she fights you on the topic you chose and are knowledgeable of for essays, disregarding and changing the point and arguments you are trying to make)more

YES. May mga schedulef consultation din siya onsite and online. In async naman, you just have to comment the specific questions you have in your paper, send it to her and she will reply there. She doesn't read the whole paper as you ask for feedback, yung questions lang yung bibigyan niya ng pansin.more

Had ma’am keische for enlit 12 & loved her!!! She’s VERRYYY motherly & makes sure to check up on her students from time to time! I’d say she’s A-able with effort. She provides you with a lot of feedback which you should definitely baon with you as you go along the sem since she really does have standards when it comes to writing! Ma’am does get technical & nit picky sometimes when it comes to writing but not in a bad way at all!! It really is just opportunity to better your writing skills She does give a lot of discussion boards but nothing too hard naman! And the DLs are always reasonable :) Another thing to take note of is Ma’am LOVES group tasks. Not an understatement 😄 Since she likes it when you give feedback to each other. Almost everything we did was done in groups except the midterm & final paper. But since you’re blockmates naman, I don’t think it’ll be too difficult to get along w eo!!more

currently taking enciso for engl 11 - she's very unclear with instructions & she asks for feedback at the end of every module, but is defensive when given criticism - her lessons are purely reading from the canvas pages, no powerpoint or any other reference, whatsoever. it is really just sitting in class with her while she reads what is already in canvas - most lectures were reliant on students to discuss, reflect, etc. so most of the time we're the ones talking and not her - i guess a-able with effort but you'll go insane first 😆more

Hello, had Ma’am for ENLIT 12 during 1st Sem. Overall good prof, grades fairly, very well spaced workload and gives feedback on time and returns requirements as well. Not sure how much different during intersession but I recommend taking her class.more
