Not an easy A elective, feels like a major

hello op! i took her onsite for 1st sem SY 23-24 The course and the workload — This elective feels like a major subject imo so if you want an easy A elective this is not it! I agree with the comments here. First half of the course evaluates your financial literacy. Most if not all of the outputs are in the book so I suggest reading it in advance. Tbf theyre pretty simple naman, minus the FQ income statement because she expects everyone to know how to create a financial statement. I suggest approaching your SOM friends for that lol. She provides the copies of her book and by provides I mean gives you a copy if you buy it so prepare to shell out some money. The second half is a major group project surrounding the behavioral bias that you are assigned. You'll have almost a month of no synchronous class to simply work on this project and gather data. Again, behavioral biases can be found in the book. Important note: you have to collect 100 respondents....... As for choosing groupmates it will be randomized :). You will also have a group paper and defense about your research which lasts around 45 mins. Lastly, theres an individual oral exam that lasts around 8 to 10 minutes. Other comments — Ma'am has tita vibes but also her grading is not very clear and her standards are also not super clear but imo as long as you follow whats in her book you'll be fine. You also can't bola or petiks your way out of the course because she knows if you're straying too far away from her book (understandable because she wrote it). She expects a lot of substance from your output even in the ones with your personal reflections and stuff. For me imo her class is an A with moderate to high effort but an easy B/B+. Overall — 6.5/10 pwede na simply buy the book, participate in class, and make sure your outputs are substantial and based on the book :)more

Hi! I took Ma’am Fausto’s class (online mode) in the first sem of last school year. Reading Materials: She’ll require her students to get a copy of two of her books (which I think are pretty helpful especially when you’re just a beginner with Money Behavior). If I remember correctly, all the readings are found in those books. Outputs: In those books, they also have activities per chapter, wherein she’ll require you to submit. They’re pretty simple lang naman. She also has some reflection activities and she encourages you to be honest with yourself as this can also help in your journey in learning more about the topics. Sessions: Ma’am would highly encourage her students to participate. This can be through comments about the topics discussed/read. In terms of attendance, Ma’am checks usually at the start of the session. Final Requirements: We had to do a group paper, presentation, and short video about a certain topic. Besides that, we had a final oral exam about all topics discussed (5 minutes per person iirc) Overall comments: Ma’am really has this motherly attitude and she really explains the topics in a way that anyone can easily learn. A-able with moderate effort since she does take substance of participatory comments and outputs seriously / easy B+ ! (Though I also felt challenged with my time management skills because of the requirements since I took it during my thesis sem) ☺️more

Take ma’am for the non-acad perks ryt ryt The workload is pretty heavy but fun. You do need to pay for her books, but they’re well written and easily understood in the right hands. Useful of blooming finance grads. There’s a quiz every week about the books, but within the semester, there are around 4 meetings. Most of the work consists of one heavy experiment groupwork, and an orals finals. Other than that…well let’s just say it’s a 1% tradition:>> Oh yah, volunteer to be the beadle. There’s an actual benefit to it🤭more
