hi! i took sir perecto/tj just this 1st sem lang
workload:
- for each module sir would have a 15-30 minute online lecture to discuss all the topics in general, sort of like an overview of everything but not in depth since this is more of a self-learning and application course
- after the lecture, he would post the module on canvas and the required discussion boards which are a LOT it's usually like 10-15 DBs per module and they can be overwhelming but for me it's manageable naman as long as u do them as early as possible, some are also group works so that can make it lighter.
- we would also have group works for each module like mostly presentations they're manageable naman but sometimes they have to be done in a time crunch cuz for our 1st group work i remember we had to make an infographic and present it in one period but for the rest naman he gave plenty of time to prepare
- and then there's the 2 major tasks as mentioned by the others, the reflective essay is indiv and the proposal essay & multimodal presentation is by group
- sir gives out v comprehensive feedback and comments on your work and we have dedicated onsite sessions for this. actually after the online lecs the rest of the osnite sessions will be dedicated for u to create the outputs and also for him to give feedback so vv manageable
grading:
- sir is such a higher grader like omg i swear i think he automatically gives perfect scores as long as u meet all his expectations so make sure to utilize the consultation time!
- for the discussion boards tbh i think he just gives perfect scores as long as u answer them and for the major tasks he has higher expectations but it's easy to get a perfect score like throughout the sem i got almost all perfect scores in his reqs! for the final project nga i think everyone got perfect scores HAHAHA
- he also gave out bonus points for us like +2 on the final grade when we attended a talk and submitted a reflection paper for it
so overall i would highly recommend him since he's also very lenient and considerate and super easy A!! a few downsides for me are the DBs can be overwhelming at times and the lectures are not very in-depthmore

only downside is that marami nga syang groupworks like every module may groupwork T__T pero you get to choose your own groupmates naman! I don't like how she handles pabuhat groupmates doe because she only gave 1 peer evaluation and that was for the midterms paper rawr
Her Enlit 12 class was really focused on finding "a truth" which magegets nyo if you enter her class na. That's the primary thing you should practice and should focus on kasi you'll use it throughout the whole sem.
Her final req was an option between paper (individual) and vlog (group) pero mas favor nya yung latter. She only has class once a week and sometimes once every few weeks so mostly asynch works tapos summary lang of the module sa synch class. Its a good tip to really try to impress her sa mga asynch discussion boards kasi she chooses the good ones and presents them in synch sessions.
Overall, A-able sya for me, very helpful sa consultations (kahit once lang aq nakapag-consult), medyo heavy sa groupworks, grades fairly, and very insightful! Wouldn't say the best and go-to prof pero, like i said, di need mag-worry if u get her!more

all that aside tho, her course isn't hard. it's just challenging, especially because it requires you to think on a deeper level. she's very motherly and approachable. try to actively participate in her class na lang.more

I agree with! But for our class, it was important to have a solid group since most of our reqs required group papers, presentations, and the like. I could say that we had solid chemistry that was why we did really well on our reqs and yeah hopefully you can build meaningful friendships because of the topics that would be discussed in ma'am Franquelli's class. If you believe that group works aren't ur thing then maybe her class isn't for you.more

she grades fairly!! make sure your outputs show effort + correctness at all times talaga, because she looks for good content. she's not lenient, but also not so strict about her grading. what you give is what you get imo. i got an A/B+ for her class i think.

Not sure about Enlit 12 specifically but 100% can vouch for Ma'am! I took her for ENE 13.06i and although it's a little difficult to understand what she wants to see, she's super patient in explaining things, giving feedback, and meeting the class. She's the type of prof that would make you feel that your efforts are recognized. She also knows what she's doing given her experience in writing and storytelling. Will take her again if I could! Hope this is helpful somehow hehe

hi! got her for enlit last sem and it was pretty okay! she’s a bit intimidating at first but very kind naman :> it was a bit challenging cos she has high standards and there were a Ton of grp works but manageable naman esp if you have good grp mates. ngl, i found her class a bit heavy at times but i definitely learned a lot from her! she’s also pretty flexible when it comes to DL extensions but make sure to let her know as early as possible if you think your class will need one. also, she’s very generous when it comes to comments so if u need help with any of her reqs just let her know. she also encouraged us to attend the optional consultation sched during midterms and finals and i suggest you go as well because her insights on your output are really helpful talaga :> just attend and participate in her sync classes, submit on time, and follow the rubrics of her reqs and you’ll be fine! got her last sem !! i would say she’s pretty okay :> if you really want to learn and be challenged then her class if for youuu. just be prepared for a lot of groupwork, a bit heavy workload, and really put a lot of effort for your asynch requirements. she has high standards and can be really strict and frank sometimes but i can say it really helps your output overall. just make sure she sees your effort and i 100% recommend attending consultations. try your best to attend and recite during synch sessions as well so that she gets to know you. she’s also considerate when it comes to moving deadlines but make sure you/your beadle requests ahead of time. it’s a little difficult but with a lot of effort, b+ to a-able :DD hope this helps!more

got her for enlit 12 & engl 11 and i love her!! she’s nice although her class has a heavy workload: there’s a ton of groupwork, indiv + group discussion boards, quizzes (just 1-2 which are pretty easy, short, and MCQ type), and about 2-3 individual papers in total (literary analysis, reflection paper — but it's less than 1000 words lang because she likes concise works). she’s quite the critic though so you can’t expect a high grade if you just mema your way through the requirements! she allows consultation for papers, so you can do that if you need guidance. the class is super A-able as long as you do what you have to do! it’s one of the classes i liked taking because i didn’t really have to worry about getting a super low grade. good luck!more

I found her workload to be quite heavy as a lot of her minor reqs are preparations for the finals, so they all felt like major requirements, but it also made the finals a little less overwhelming. A-able though so I don't really regret taking her!!more
