i think sir mark is new to theo 12 ata hehe my review from theo 11 tho: lectures - no gadgets but i swear u wont even realize na its already time hes THAT good - super organized. he has a calendar which contains ano discussion that day. he updates it frequently din if may suspensions or moved quizzes - everytime i got out of his class nagtitinginan kami ng mga kaklase namin na parang "damn that was crazy" - u will learn a lot in his class i swear C': - one of the most impressive things abt him to me is that he's so good at answering questions. he answers well without stuttering at all! - he gives a few mins for u to talk to ur seatmate to discuss any questions or anything that stood out to u abt the lesson grading and assessments - for theo 11 to ha pero andaming quizzes i think we had 8 so like every other week merong quiz lol - he had bonus quiz and bonus paper naman - had seatworks that helped write final essay - orals were never alone. by group yung midterms then by pair yung finals - overall kind of manageable workload - tbh not an easy A but he grades fairly! whenever i got an assessment back, i would be like ah ok i deserve this grade so i cant be mad lol being a beadle - just asks you to take note of the cuts. whoever comes in after 10 minutes is a cut. i recommend u sit at the back of the class if u can so u can see who comes in kasi i sat in front and had a hard time D': - also asks u to send him the groupings and pairs - responsive to emails - idk if i had any incentives (i never noticed if there was) but it was a pretty ok experience if u wanna experience being beadle 👌 bonus?? - at the end of the sem, he gave us 30 minutes to ask anything about his personal life lol it was very fun - choose ur seating arrangement but tbh one of my classmates sat in another chair halfway through and he never questioned it idk if he noticed - so considerate and kind C': in theo 11, he knew that it was the first time for a lot of us to have orals so he oriented us how to prepare for one so we aren't lost tldr one of the profs i will probably never forget 😁more

Yeah sir mark IMO he has high standards for the reason being that he has given the readings and the guide questions for the quizzes and orals well in advance so he expects that you have done your readings ahead of time. You really need to put keyterms or points that was said in the readings kasi he will be looking for those in your quizzes. Make sure talaga you know what you're writing/talking about kasi he will know if it's BS what you're saying. His lectures are informative and my favorite part of his class but make sure to take notes kasi in some cases (especially sa orals) they will pop up talaga so be sure to take note of what he is saying. Tbh getting an A for his class his hard but as long as you're consistent in the assessments then for sure u will but mostly talag it's either B+ and below. If you're having a tough time in his class score wise I high suggest having a consultation with him cause he will suggest tips on how to do well on your next assessments and what to improve on. He values respect so show respect and courtesy by going to class on time, paying attention in class, writing notes when you can, and engaging in the discussion. He is strict with lates and has a lot of quizzes but really all are scheduled ahead so make sure to just read. I say really choose your groupmates because group presentations and work make up 35% of your grade and with the point system, its easy to fall down. For grading: we had a total of 10 quizzes, I got a perfect score in all so A. For solidarity narrative, I got a B+. But when it came to groupwork we got a C+/B so my final grade turned out to become a B. A is 3.70-4.0. B+ is 3.50-3.69. B is 3.00-3.49. C+ is 2.50-2.99. C is 2.0-2.49. Despite this I still think he is one of the most defining profs in my Ateneo life. Through his class I got to understand much deeply what it meant to be a person for and with others. Every lecture was something to look forward to. If I could take him again, I would.more

took his theo 11 class (online) and sat in one of his onsite classes last school year. solid prof. nakakatakot at first kasi medyo masungit vibes pero you’ll see that he’s very passionate lang talaga in what he teaches. honestly my theo 11 experience was so memorable and definitely my favorite theo class!!! grading-wise, sir grades very fairly. if you put in a lot of thought and effort in your essays, he will definitely see that. he reads your work talaga bc he comments throughout your document. tip is to follow his instructions talaga (during my time he specified max. # of lines, word count, etc). and ofc to write well. sir mark is definitely one of my favorite profs in my entire college stay! you’re in great hands.more

hi! technically i didn’t get an A sa class nya pero B+ so close enough HAHAHAHA i would say his standards aren’t high but he knows what he wants 😭 he’s looking usually for a specific term or concept to be mentioned. my advice is to use the guide questions on canvas to help u review when doing ur readings! he also includes the pages where u can find the answers. it helps you to know what to focus on pero read the whole thing pa rin kasi minsan he’ll ask something outside of the pages he highlighted. for orals, it’s good to have a mix of readings and lecture discussions so i highly encourage you to take notes during class kasi sometimes what he’s looking for na-mention lang during the lecture 😅 overall it’s a bit hard to get an A but i think as long as u do the readings and take notes u should be finemore
