Vouch for Montejo! So considerate and very passionate about teaching, his quizzes might be on the more difficult side but as someone who took STEM for SHS, definitely A-able with moderate effort!

Definitely, Montejo! Had Sir Kristian, he really tries his best to make the lessons approachable and gives out practice tests in every module. You can also consult with him and he'll let you know what you got wrong in practice problems. Because it's Accounting, it'll still be difficult but kayang pumasa.more

Hi!! This is my experience on Sir Montejo and review!! Assessments 1. Quizzes: • Expect a quiz for every module, which is conducted online (at least it was last semester). • Each quiz is open for a week and has a specific submission deadline. Often, quizzes are due on a class day, which means a free cut! But this isn’t always the case—especially if time is tight for covering other topics. 2. Case Study: • There’s a case study, so choose your group mates wisely. Sir Montejo provides a timeline to help you manage your schedule and avoid cramming toward the end of the semester. 3. Creative Recap: • Each group will do a recap of the recently completed module in a creative way (e.g., Kahoot or other formats). This activity comes with plus points (though it wasn’t specified where). 4. Final Exam: • The final exam is comprehensive and covers the entire semester. It’s online, but it has many problems to solve within a tight 3-hour timeframe. • Be prepared and don’t panic! It can feel overwhelming—there were around 50 questions last time—but with preparation, it’s manageable. Teaching Style • Sir Montejo explains topics clearly and is very approachable. • If you have questions (for lectures, the case study, or creative recap), don’t hesitate to ask. He’s nice and accommodating during consultations too! • Attendance is recorded on a sign-in sheet passed around during class. • His sense of humor might not be for everyone, but I personally enjoy it—it adds a light and fun vibe to the class. Overall Sir Montejo is a great professor who has humor and an overall good teaching style. As long as you stay on top of your work and participate, you can absolutely pass his class. I took Sandoval’s class back in 2022 during the Flex setup, so I’m not sure how he conducts his classes now. He’d divide the theoretical and practical aspects of the topics, so he’d allot 1 meeting for each. The theoretical class was typically him reading off of his ppts and the 2nd class of the week was for teaching the accounting process. He also gave short theoretical quizzes every week iirc, then every 2-3 weeks there were modular exams for problem solving which were both online. We didn’t have a final exam because there was a departmental exam for all ACCT 113 classes at the time. I would say na you really need to follow his process because you will get lost since he teaches very fast and I would recommend using excel din since I heard he writes everything on the board pag f2f. Sir’s nice naman, but if you want to really learn and actually understand, I wouldn’t recommend him at all as a 1st choice, especially for those na wala masyadong accounting experience. I felt that his entire class was a speedrun tbh. He used to curve back then, but he didn’t during my time. If you have no choice, but to take him, you won’t be doomed naman tho it will take a lot of self-studying and excel is your best friend talaga. B/C+able on averagemore

Montejo!! He teaches generally well but I do think due to the 7 modules of ACCT 113 he may seem to be rushing through the modules. But since its accounting you still need to study and practice alot since its quite hard. Despite being a full time auditor (i think?) he still replies incredibly fast to messages. He does really care for his students. There are practice quizzes per module. But he sometimes gives out extra practice tests or questions for the module quizzes For grading on quizzes, you get what you deserve when it comes to partial points. For final grading, I have no idea since I didn’t really ask around, but for someone who isnt from ABM he was A-able!more

took Sandoval this sem! Here’s my review cons - does not teach formulas beforehand - no visuals; no powerpoints and in depth discussion - does not write legibly - usually diretso lang siya, unless someone interrupts him - he does not upload answer keys - he answers the same time as you do; meaning he does not know the actual correct answers … - rarely goes online (kahit may transport strike / bagyo but didnt suspend) beige flags - focuses on answering problems - theory quiz and LT mostly every week - participation is not graded pros - takes only 5 highest LTS + 1 LT (Average of 5 theory quizzes) - 1 final group paper, no presentation > follow up: he ranks each paper 100, 99, etc. But he says he ensures it so everyone gets an A - Quizzes, LTs, and Exam have partial points (ensures you have a minimum of 50 points already) - He says he has “allowance for errors” aka nagpapa bonus siya lagi 😅 The amount of bonus points he gives depends on how much the highest scorer needs to get perfect (so if im the highest scorer and i got 95, he’ll give everyone +5) - you can attend another class slot even if you’re enlisted for a diff - We had 3 Online LTs Quizzes/LTs/Final Exam - Only allows calculator, pen, yellow pad (for solutions, but you dont even submit it) - Majority, if not all, is multiple choice. Second half of the test is usually application of writing balance sheets or journal entries (or wtvr the topic is), but there are cases where its all multiple choice lang - Does not require you to place solutions! - only happened on the first LT and final exam, but no erasures allowed TLDR - Marami siyang bad reviews sa P2P because of his teaching style, but as a person he’s really nice - If you want to learn get Montejo; Had to self study a lot under Sandoval - you Will pass if you take him; A-able? Definitelymore
