Nice guy, has a solid job background (he'll take one entire class = 3hrs to talk about his past life hahahha). he also teaches in UA&P and UP, so he's only in ateneo when he has class. he worked in Nielsen so market research is really his specialty and has a lot of experience. he's a funny chill guy but his powerpoints are always so wordy. tests are very objective and he doesn't test anything he doesn't teach, and mostly from his lectures. Does case studies/sample market research tests in class (nothing super rigid) that he sometimes includes in the quizzes. he sends all powerpoint material so no need to take notes in his class. he's boring to some people, but i personally liked his class cos he jokes around and is pretty straightforward. Not sure if he checks attendance, but he's understanding if you come late/leave early. but yeh since his tests are based off lectures mostly, best not to skip. if you can take the class with people you know, it's better since you start the group project already start of the sem palang! overall i loved taking him because he's easy to talk to and didn't have a super hard workload! objective quizzes every other class, long tests are long and essay type so ur writing hand is gonna die, semester project was only within the scope of atenean students so it's not hard to conduct the research, but idk if he'll still do the same thing next sem! got a B with moderate effortmore

One of my favorite profs so far!! He translates his lessons to the online setting very well. He’s a fatherly figure and listens to the needs of the class. He moves deadlines when there really is a need to or when he can see that the class can’t keep up. He can be a little intimidating at first esp when it comes to recitation during synch sessions but he really just wants to push you to give your best answers. In terms of workload, it’s pretty heavy considering you have to fit an entire market research project into the span of a quarter. Majority of your individual grade comes from group works (the market research project) so make sure you have good group mates (tyg I did, hi guys if u see this). He allows you to submit components of your market research project 2-3 times. He’ll give in-depth comments for the first time you pass so you can drastically improve for the second time you pass. He also likes to impose the same standards (more or less) they use in the market research industry as well. Over-all, he’s a great prof. You’ll definitely learn a lot. You have to put in a lot of effort to get decent grades. Definitely A-able if you’re studious enough! more

i thought i would dread this class, but my experience was good aside from the class being 3 hours long and no eating jk really rip writing hand cause it’s around 15-20 essays per exam, but it can be finished in an hour and a half (or even less??) hahaha really easy if you listen in class and read through the reviewer he will send (just a compilation of all the PPTs tbh so it ends up being 100+ slides). Most of what comes out in the quizzes are examples that are discussed in the previous session. He won’t announce, so just expect one each meeting. You can also approach him and ask questions even after class or through messenger. Almost all group requirements will be submitted in powerpoint format, and for individual HWs, mostly word formats to be submitted through google classroom! It’s also easy to do because he usually asks for a 500-word reflection or opinion on a certain topic that you can google haha he also mentions a book and will ask you to photocopy it, but you can survive the sem without reading it!! just don’t cram anything and the class is manageable!more

one of my fave profs for the online setting!! He’s really kind, understanding, and responsive 😊 He’d have regular synchronous sessions to cover the lessons and he’s very experienced in market research so I enjoyed listening to his lectures and stories. He’d make occasional jokes to keep it light and he really cares about his students!! ❤️ The workload was reduced for the quarter timeline so we just had 3 graded discussions, 1 individual assignment, and the group project (including 1 FGD, 1 IDI, and a survey with 30 respondents). He lets you choose your own group and gives very detailed feedback in a timely manner. Overall, learned a lot from Sir. Robles and personally really enjoyed his class 😄 B+/A-ablemore

He’s a very nice prof! Medyo intimidating at first but he’s rlly nice!! His canvas was medyo gulo and the deadlines of assessments were confusing and all over the place. Almost everything is by group and only a few discussion boards which are graded. I suggest you get him cause he’s nice but just remember he’s medyo malabo with assessments. more

Wow lots of people are liking this post. HAHAHA! Anyways, Sir Robles was a knowledgeable prof, who is quite traditional in teaching. Owing to the subject matter, classes can get a bit draggy. I’d recommend him tho!🙂more
