bawal magrecord sa class, and please dont try to kasi yung mga instances talaga na ganun ang ayaw ni maam. bawal magphone, bawal din ipad for notes. use a notebook sa class niya.more

tbh i can see why she has a lot of negative reviews, but honestly I feel like that's because the people who give those reviews don't prepare themselves enough for her class because what she's asking for isn't too much anywaymore

the readings can be quite lengthy (about 20 pages per week), but it will pay off once you get to class and recite a lot.

i only see 2 downsides from her teaching style. she doesn't return homeworks or she returns them superrr late, so di mo talaga maccalculate yung standing mo. another one is that old school siya so walang ppt or visual aidmore

Honestly, ang nakakapressure lang naman in taking her class is the recitation and frank comments pag mali yung sinasabi mo. Unoable sya if you take the effort to really prepare for the lecture and write impressive papers. And the thing I like most about her is she gave me a newfound appreciation for our language and the reality of how it is being shrugged aside in a lot of aspects in our country.more

Hindi siya gaanong magaling magturo at mahilig siya magparecite isa isa. Tapos madami ding reportings at readings. Mayroong dalawang exam pero mahirap at puro identification. May essay pero di siya mataas magbigay doon ng points. Overall ay medyo boring ang klase at karamihan ng output ay nanggaling sa mga estudyante.more

Fun ang class namin sa Fil 40 sa kanya. Nakakatuwa yung class kasi interactive sya. Maraming readings pero related naman sya sa topics. Yung exams ay galing lang sa readings though mahirap sya kasi may identification. Hmm, fun din yung reporting sa amin, hindi boring kasi pagandahan ang groupsnsa reporting. Got 1.25 sa kanya.more

At first, it would feel intimidating because of the recitation done every single meeting. But she doesn't embarrass you if ever you really don't know the answer to her question. Better pa nga na maging honest ka. May group report, 2 exams (but you can be exempted if you got a high grade in the first), group paper or individual paper.more

Class time was primarily for discussion. She expects active participation and really calls on the different people in class for their opinions. It can be difficult to recite especially if you aren't too familiar with Filipino to begin with. The requirements aren't too heavy though and she's a good teacher. :)more

Madaming reports and readings but nakikinig talaga si ma'am at yung klase sa report mo. Sasabihin ni ma'am if may mali yung pagkakaintindi mo and ipapaintindi niya sayo. Mabait si ma'am and malakas yung boses kaya hindi ka makakatulog. Kailangan din magrecite ka every meeting pero madadalu lang naman yung mga tanong.more

Ma'am is good at explaining the concepts which are not that easy to understand. She has a lot of examples to share with us, making our class more interesting. Sometimes, there a lot of readings, making this subject a bit demanding. At the end of the semester, you'll realize that you love the Filipino language more than you did before.more

Summer ko kinuha fil40 ko kaya mas onti requirements. Fun ng discussions, super engaging. Kahit 'di naman pansinin yung readings, wala ako halos binasa dun sa akin. Basta may opinyon ka lang sa topic pag natawag ka ganun.more

Ang galing magturo ni ma'am. And magiging close kayo ng buong class since marami kayong groupings and interaction. Mahilig siyang magparecitation pero sobrang dali lang and usually, funny. Read and understand the readings very well, line of uno ka agad. May bonus sa amin kapag perfect attendance (strict sya when it comes to this)more

Kapag recitation magpapa-recite talaga siya isa-isa para lang magbigay ng examples. Minsan nagiging boring dahil dun. Pero na-eexplain naman niya nang maayos yung mga concepts, makikita mong marami talaga siyang alam tungkol sa subject na yun. Nakiki-ride din siya sa jokes ng mga estudyante :)more

LOL Sa fil 40 niya makikita mong marami ka pang dapat matutunan. mabilis nagpapalit ang aura ni maam, from nice to angry to nice, depende kung may nakitang student na gumagamit ng cellphone during class. Isa-isa dapat makapag recite. Okay naman siya magpa exam. Nakiki ride sa joke ng students. Masaya sa klase niya. 😊😉more
