Intimidating at first, but Doc Jun makes you want to learn

He's basically a canon event among Psych majors given how established he is. Ask your other Psych profs who are Ateneo alums and chances are they had him for Physio as well. The class is intimidating at first, but Doc Jun's enthusiasm will make you really want to learn and understand. 🥹 Our class was 6:30-8:00 PM and hard sciences are far from my interests, but I never got bored of his class! Make sure to read ahead of lectures (if kaya) para mas madali sundan. Medyo spontaneous siya magturo, but with all his experience, memorized niya na kasi lessons.😅 The test questions themselves aren't too difficult if you're prepared enough pero nakakahilo yung long tests due to the length. As in 150+ multiple choice tapos may identification/essay part pa after! Tip is to watch the supplemental YouTube videos na nasa canvas and take note of the examples he gives during class. Huwag masyado kabahan kasi may curve naman. 🙂↕️🙂↔️more

memorable prof ("if i pinch myself... *weird noises") i loved physio psych bc of sir jun!!! boss level yung LTs niya that last 3 hours tapos yung choices ay true, false, both are true, both are false, none of the above HAHAHAHAH yung essay part ay hindi tlga essay pero parang identification/short answer pero a-able!😇 just make sure to answer the dbs, write those optional (not really optional...) papers, and most importantly LISTEN to his lecture!!! sometimes dragging siya lalo na if u get the evening class, pero sometimes sinasabi niya sa lecture yung items on the exam xd go through everything, lalo na the reviewers and videos!more

ik people who got an inc but not an F 😭 but i think you should definitely tryst the curve, just make sure to pass all the requirements. i forgot to submit one of the requirements cause of a miscommunication, and only realized it at the end of the sem until sir contacted me about it. i explained the situation to him and he just said to send it to him asap. i for sure thought i would get a C or D but i ended getting an A! i'm not sure if donating blood would help a lot but ig just take every bonus opportunity you can!more

never heard of anyone failing doc cuenca’s class, and i had him twice and got A’s both times. just show up, make sure you study for his tests, and trust in the cuencurve!! but don’t get reliant on it, still put in the work 👌🏻more

hello! i took his class 2 years ago and i was so sure i was gonna fail (i’m pretty sure i failed all the long tests but he didn’t give back the score so i’m not too sure) but i just did my best with the written outputs as pambawi and i ended up with a b+! for a subject i really struggled in, it was a shock that i honestly got a b+. so do trust in the cuencurve, but like everyone else mentioned, just show up in class and do your best!more
