B-able if you work smart; lab is meticulous
Hi! I had Sir Pat as well for online class and I was his beadle for both lecture and online class. I can honestly say that you can get a B and higher for both lab and lecture as long as yk how to work smart (if yk what i mean). For synchronous sessions, we only had 2 for the entire quarter and all were at the start of the qtr. It wasn't really enlightening and you most likely wouldn't probably gain much especially if it's for the lesson proper (he just read from the ppt LOL 😭). So technically, you're on your own to study the lessons. When it comes to lab, I suggest you get yourself good group mates (lalo na w/ experience in making lab reports). He's kind of meticulous in grading so be very careful in what you put. When he gives feedback for lab reports, you might encounter "?" or any comment that's a question. So you can either a) message him about it or b) interpret it on your own. pretty much mentioned everything for the quizzes and long tests but I just wanna highlight that the long tests get locked on the day it's due. So please watch out for that cuz he kinda replies late. Overall, I'd say that if you're the type of person who'd like to learn physics independently and at your own pace, his class would be the best to take. Hope this helps! ☺️🍀more

^^ that's for lecture !! lab is pretty okay as long as u get good groupmates and do well in the quizzes and the final project (we did an infographic). anyway, i think his class is for people who know how to go at their own pace!! kasi di kami masyado minonitor in general; if you like this kind of setup, by all means go. but yeah if u prefer learning from lectures (live or recorded), u might wanna go to another class. im definitely the latter HAHAHAHA pero kinaya naman!! still got a B/B+ in lab and lecture bcs some of the quiz answers were google-able (tas open notes pa). soooo yea if u cant get out of enlisting in this class, konting sipag to get by HAHAHA di naman babagsak ++ i'd say he's pretty lenient w deadlines because i passed a quiz late once and still got full points hope this helps someone !more

for online class ;; had him for physics !! lab and lecture. i could've really used having synchronous sessions since im not rly good at science. mostly nag self-study lang ako ng mga powerpoints na pinrovide niya. pero honestly ok na rin siguro yun kaysa terror na prof HAHAHA. B/B+ able as long as u do well sa quizzes and sa long tests. 6 total modules so.... usually 1-2 quizzes per module. 3 long tests throughout the quarter, every 2 modules. quizzes were usually 8-10 items while the long tests were worth 25 points. again, u can get a B or higher as long as u study and do well sa quizzes !! he talked to us nung simula ng quarter and he said ok lang tumingin sa notes, magsearch, etc. so keri na rin :-)) more

when reviewing for the LTs what I did was I just answered the questions at the end of the PPT because according to the previous students of Sir Dailisan the questions in the LTs are super similar to the PPT questions. 😃more

super boring lectures pero kaya naman. his slides are available online rin and may part dun na review questions and some parts kasama sa long test/quizzes. better to self review nalang kasi ???? and sometimes yung lumalabas sa test di naturo but tests (midterms, finals) are 30 items lang multiple choice. he doesnt check attendance na like starting sa third week and pwede magphone and matulog sa class niya. goodluckmore

No don't! Huhu he's fair naman in grading, I can say that, but the stress is NOT worth it. Unless you're the type to not really listen in class (cause he's CONFUSING AF) and prefer to study by yourself, then go. But really huhu save yourself. If you get him though, bless your soul.more

To contribute, I had him for PS 21 - he is fair, i guess, but i found it hard to listen sometimes because his voice was not well-modulated. HI I HAD THE OG BOSSMAN SIR PAT FOR PHYS 23.22 (Laboratory) last sem, not sure about how his lecture class goes pero for lab: I really enjoyed it!! For our class, he was rly willing to help us out thrugh the experiments, minsan may jokes here and there, very nice, and very very A-able (at least for the lab class)! I love that man so much i learned more about physics concepts from the laboratory class than the lecture class LMAO CC BEST LABGROUPMATES:more

I got him for Psy 1. His lectures are boring and it makes you fall asleep, but he’s a nice guy. He reuses his LTs and he sometimes gives quizes. Don’t worry about it being a surprise quiz because he always announces it. You are given 1.5-2hrs to finish the LTs but you can finish it in 30-45 mins.more

Pro tip: study the ppts or the book. There are copies online HAHA I only passed because I got the lesson through the ppts and just a tiny bit from his lectures. His lectures are boring, but if you listen real hard, you could understand it but you really need to read the ppts or book HAHA also, his tests are hard because each item is two points each BUT all of them are multiple choice hehe and finals is just a long test of the last few chapters he discussed, not the whole semester :> ((he makes corny jokes too so make sure to laugh so he'll like you HEHE))more

Passionate but monotone, 5-point quizzes sting

We had him for the first sem last year! Sir P. Dalisan is really passionate but to our class his voice is monotoned so its hard to listen to him. He gives out 5 point quizes for us so its hard if you get a mistake since hindi ka masyado makabawi. He likes demonstrations and showing science tools and how they work (for me it didnt help much with the lesson but its fun looking at them!)more

Honestly if there’s someone else teaching that class, load rev na, especially if you actually want to learn something. Super boring lectures and you’ll barely learn anything from him. Time slows down when you’re in that class. His voice will put you to sleep. He’s very malabo also. You have to self study.more

dailisan is VERY NICE and KIND. he is passionate too i guess but his lectures are very boring. he jokes from time to time, but it really depends on whether your classmates will receive it well cause otherwise everything is just boring especially if u dread physics. i got an A for him but it’s because the most mistakes i got on an exam was 3.more

He grades fairly, but the problems are routine anyway so as long as you understand the physics concepts and do the math properly it should be an easy A. tbh it might be harder to stay up in class than to answer the LTs 😂more

He doesn’t curve you definitely get the grade you deserve (or at the very least the grade you get in the LT). Just study the whole Young and Freedman and you’ll be fine.more
