Read your readings and be very straight to the point sa papers mo. He hates it pag paligoy ligoy ang argument mo. He likes random calling sa recitation so be very prepared. He also likes to ask mind boggling questions. He can give you 1 sa paper but he is also very generous in giving 3s. His class is my favorite because I learned a lot in our lectures but his class also gives me a lot of anxiety.more

For majors to, fairly easy naman (but do take this with a grain of salt kasi baka magkaiba concept natin ng mahirap). As for readings, for English majors or other programs na reading intensive I'd say na it's a fair amount naman. Back then we had 2-5 texts per meeting.more

Sir Falgui is a great instructor. Grabe lang talaga pag-check niya ng papers. You'll realize na walang kwenta yung grammar mo. Make sure niyo nga pala na-receive niya talaga papers niyo or you might get an INC grade. Better siyang prof pag hindi writing course ang kinuha niyo under him, I guess.more

You'd definitely learn a lot from him! He may be intimidating sometimes, but listen to him well and participate and you'd surely enjoy his class. He is very specific in checking your paper (especially grammar) but just know the topic of your paper very well and you'll be fine. He gives the grade you truly deserve. Super hassle! BUT great prof :) Our class was 7-8:30 pero he usually arrives mga 7:30 or 8 hahaha. You'll learn a lot from this prof, though madaming papers & readings! Make sure you pass all the requirements. Definitely one of the best profs ever! :)more

Sir Falgui is probably one of the smartest CAL profs. His discussions are never boring & his readings are interesting (btw,recitations are graded). He also gives incentives. He doesnt give uno, and if he gives a grade >2.00, it means you managed to keep up with his VERY HIGH STANDARDS. In my class, you'll either SINK OR SWIM (Falgui, 2013).more

The lectures I enjoyed the most were given by sir Falgui. They're really interesting, and I think it'll make you want to participate in his class (especially if you READ THE READINGS). He probably won't give your papers high grades (he has high standards), so try to revise as best as you can, and you'll probably get a good final grade.more

But you need to be quite talented to keep up with his activities. There's usually a line for consultation with him. And other times he's not even there though he said he would be -_-more

I don't get why people say Sir is a terror. He taught the class in a very professional but chill manner. He's going to make you want to listen. Ang cute cute magturo ni Sir because you'll see he's very passionate and educated about what he's teaching. He looks simple but he's the bomb. You'll pass basta recite and pass papers on time :)more

NOTICE ME SENSEI!!! I tried so hard to make good on my papers, but he always was disappointed with them. But, I took it positively, and struggled to improve myself. I ended up with a 1.5, which is pretty acceptable. He seems like a strict, cold-hearted person, but see him with his son and he is the exact opposite of that. Recommended 11/10.more

Among the classes I took this sem, THIS ENG 10 CLASS IS THE BEST! Sir Falgui is the best prof EVER. He might be intimidating at first (you'll know why if you take his class) but he is really nice. He is considerate and he teaches very well. Mapapaisip ka talaga sa mga nangyayari sa paligid mo. Don't expect high grades but expect a lot of learning!more

At first I thought he was a terror prof, but throughout the sem I can say that he's actually nice and I've learned so much from him. Don't be scared in your first day of class, he will warm up eventually, his readings and lessons are really interesting and will stick with you until bedtime :) If you want high grades though, don't risk taking him!more

Being a freshie, failing in the 1st sem is the most horrendous thing imaginable so I thought of dropping his class but 15 units lang ako nun. Dropping him means an underloaded sem for me. Sir Falgui is probably one of the best profs to take a literature class under. He knows what he's talking about and if you don't really get the text, his discussion will definitely enlighten you and give you a different perspective. He's usually 15-30 mins late so he dismisses exactly on time/later. We also had 3-4 makeup classes due to freecuts :(more

He is really a great professor. He may be intimidating at first but he gets nicer as the semester progresses. He will show different interpretations of the readings. Some of the questions in his graded recitations are hard but he gives high grades depending on how you justify your answer. THIS CLASS IS LIFE CHANGING. TAKE IT!!more

Sobrang haba ng mga readings pero medyo expected naman yun. Medyo nakakatakot din graded recit pero you can give whatever answer basta lang kaya mo idefend. In my 2 yrs of UP life so far, sir Falgui easily is the only prof ever to give the best readings. Sir Falgui's class has a tedious classroom setup. You really have to understand the details of his readings and you should be straight to the point when reciting. Graded papers are quite challenging because you should earn the revisions from the number of passes in your graded recitation. His American accent is really attractive to this class.more

Even when he looks as if he's judging you to the very core of your soul hahaha. He'll grow on you. You're gonna learn how to make sensible literary analysis/interpretations.
