Hi! I didn’t have ma’am filart for PSYC 20, but I did have her for SocSc 11. All I can say is you’re in great hands!!! In terms of teaching, she discusses very well and is quite straightforward. She would also be the type to somehow seek reflections (probably because it’s socsci) but I think she does that to also give you the opportunity to apply it and connect concepts with your personal stuff for you to easily remember it. I would say she’s very psych, when I had her I liked how she presented herself and how connected she is with psych. For quizzes and exams, we had like 3 quizzes, 1 was onsite, the others were online. She mixes it up every now and then, for the first one purely multiple choice. For the second one it was essay type and the last was a mix of the two. She focuses it on concepts and application of them in scenarios. We didn’t have a final exam, but we did have a final project/reflection. So it might be different for PSYC 20. It’s interesting to me that she’s gonna teach PSYCH 20, I would have loved to have PSYC 20 with her cause she’s just that nice. I wouldn’t say that she’s an easy A, but definitely doable with a bit of effort.more

I’m not sure how Ms. Filart is in PSYC20 but I had her in another psych class (PSYC92) and all I can say is you’re in good hands!! Her teaching is generally what you would expect, she’s straightforward, but she also provides opportunities for classroom engagement. We had online tests in our class, not sure if you would have the same. Her questions in our online tests were not that difficult, and would always come from what she taught or what’s in her slides. I would have loved to take PSYC20 under her, as she’s also very kind and approachable! Wouldn’t say an easy A for our class, but definitely not difficult.more

Study the concepts and don’t be afraid to ask

In terms of things to do to get an A. I think with her, studying and really grasping the concepts and how it can be applied will most definitely help. Try to also engage in her discussions, and don’t be afraid to ask questions (she’s nice and there is no judgement if you ask a question) if there are concepts that are somewhat confusing, at least get clarifications cause she might apply those in the quizzes and exams.more

Had him last sem Heavy workload, grades high, and you’ll really learn from this class. He’s also nice and chill. Most of the reviews about him before still apply imo His assessments are groupwork heavy so you really need a good group He also values professionalism and punctuality a lot Would get him again, definitely one of the best profs out there imo 🙂more
