He's a good prof! Took him last year and he knows what he's teaching so you're in good hands. He doesn't check attendance, he doesn't call for recitation, he just discusses. He teaches using PPT and he gives them naman via canva. If you want a chill class, choose this. We had light requirements lang naman which consisted of pure online tests and a group presentation. As long as you take down notes, you'll be fine because I noticed that he tends to grade better if you incorporate what he said during class, or you can also just read the readings and PPTs.more

Anonymous member 809 forgot to mention this. His tests are essay type, idr anymore but probably around 2 questions each test. He's also generous with deadlines. I remember him making the test available to answer for 1 whole week although you can only submit once plus there's a time limit din. Still a good experience overall tho.more

workload wise kay ma’am franquelli not easy, but more of in a madami syang reqs way. tho manageable naman ang mismong mga analysis. mabigat lng talaga dahil sa quantity. from my experience last sem it was a wed class so we meet only once a week (aka to make up for it madami reqs) iirc two major papers one major output and one individual synthesis. she is a-able and as long as youre interested in topics like gender and film that catches her attention. overall ma’am is so sweet and nice when need ng advise sa paper and all. but she can see thru ur bullshit dinmore

i had ms gomez for ene during an intersesh and was able to get an A. it was chill and focused on activities (manageable naman)

The only thing worse than a terror prof is a prof who just doesnt care and thats luisa gomez She treats the class like kindergarteners, never teaches anything (we never had a single lecture in class), she makes the class "teach each other" by giving nothing but group assignments and group works She gives the most mundane comments on your outputs then suddenly drops a huge project where all she does is give nothing but backhanded feedback Biggest waste of time ever idk how shes still a prof in the dept but ig easy class, i would suggest taking a better prof if you wanna at least learn somethingmore

I was her beadle during her onsite class last semester of this year. She's unlike her past reviews now: so easy to talk and consult with; always gives constructive advice with essays. She's easily entertained through presentations; I recommend to add icebreakers or skits to keep her attention. She has high standards on essays, but as long as you consult with her and follow her recommendations, you can get an A! Class participation is always via discussion boards and Perusal annotations. imo you don't really need to listen attentively during class discussions because they're mostly supplementary and has nothing to do with your deliverables. She's absolutely organized: for every module, she'll post the schedule and tasks for synchronous and asynchronous classes; for almost every onsite lectures, she'll write the agenda on the board to keep us on track. Also, in our case, we technically applied to be the beadle. There was an application form and everything. She'll be choosing two beadles, and they'll be partners. If one of the beadles are unresponsive/uncooperative, she will replace them with another who also applied. I almost gave her a perfect score in the faculty and course evaluation hehemore

Had her last year online and although she has high standards and is pretty scary, I thoroughly enjoyed her class! - B+ able - iirc most assessments were group essays about the readings + two individual papers (midterms and finals) and discussion boards for every reading discussed where you have to reply to others to get the full points. - her synch classes are lowkey boring kasi monotone lang siya magsalita - her choice of readings are really good tho! Di nakakatamad magbasa. I cried while reading one of them HJABSNSV - Take advantage of consultations! She really gives you good feedback and usually pinpoints specific parts of your work she thinks you could improve on (and she usually gives you tips on what she wants to see exaclty) May pa scary vibes siya but honestly if you interact with her in small groups or in consultations, she’s really nice!more

Had Ma’am Gomez for ENE 13.06i and it was a bit stressful because she barely returns any scores so you don’t know how you’re doing in class 😭 Medyo mabigat yung workload but it’s mostly by group so the work is divided between y’all. I’d say take her advice during consultations seriously. usually she tells you naman what she wants, so follow that and you should get an okay score. Managed to get an A in her class! Just do all the requirements on time and listen to her tips during consultation/lectures and you should be fine.more
