Fast paced, A is possible with effort and practice

hi! currently taking her for krn 11 and i personally rlly love our classes. i came into class not having that much background on the language, i only knew basic expressions from kdramas and tv shows. though, you’d have to self learn and actually practice outside of class hours cause its pretty fast paced. she made us do a lot of acting and partner work. she also appreciates class participation and would call you one by one during discussions for practice, and no she’s not scary! she understands if you’re having a hard time and would actually help you answer them. for our finals ngayon, she tasked us to create 3 commercials per group and we’re going to have a written test, which also includes a listening test. I’d say A is definitely possible w/ her, as long as you put in effort and practice a lotmore

Took her 2024, most of our classes are onsite but in some emergencies she goes online. When i took her class i only knew basic Hangul, you can survive as long as you really review. Idt you can go petiks here cuz ma’am remembers our names n nagtatawag siya, before lecture (like to recap last discussions) and during lecture (there are mini exercises in between so u need to listen talaga). There are also discussion boards, worksheets, videos to listen to n answer. One quiz was onsite and in paper. She likes to assign pair works (we chose our pair) too ! Finals was a one on one where maam will interview and converse w u in korean it was nerve wracking haha . But for sure you’ll learn a lot n maam may seem strict but she’s nice^^ b+ able with effortmore

hi i came into her class not knowing anything abt the language but the basic numbers hahaha i found it hard, i had to exert more effort (maybe that’s because i found memorizing characters difficult in the first place) she’s nice, if i recall correctly, she often has pair activities like if you’re more on the latter part of the modules, you’ll be asked to read a sentence/create one with your pair. she always holds reviews and shares tips for her exams too pacing is a bit fast! didn’t have orals with ms. na because we were pressed for time overall i had a hard time but she grades reasonably naman! just practice the language whenever you can + i felt like it would’ve been easier if i already knew a little bit of korean beforehand thoughmore

hi, i took her last intersession so the pacing of the class was very fast. however, the assessments reflected the lessons naman, including quizzes, speaking tasks, discussion boards. they were not that hard for me, given that i have no background in the language at all bukod sa basic words and phrases. also, she holds review sessions before major assessments which were very helpful. make sure lang to review her handouts and you’ll be fine. my friend and i got an A from her even though we were very sure na we did not ace the finals HAHAmore

found KRN11 a bit hard w her because we dont have worksheets/modules sa canvas unlike other profs (based from my friend, they have daw). so it's a bit harder to review the lessons. and the pacing is a bit fast din. but she grades very high. pretty sure i bombed my orals but still got a B+ 🥹more

I took her KRN 11 class intersession of 2024. My experience is a bit biased because I already knew a bit of Korean before entering the class. But I would say the assessments are manageable with basic reviewing. I don't think Au Ssaem will hold classes online if she doesn't need to. She had an emergency last year which caused her to shift online, but I think she will always hold her class onsite otherwise.more

took javier and mas mabigat workload niya kaysa kay rico (to compare it to a friend who took the class)! pero very motherly vibes si au saem 🤓 really cares about her students and offers consultations talaga! requirements are composed of written tests, pair works (speaking tasks), and an individual speaking task for the finals! based on what i hear, i feel like all krn 11 profs are very nice in general naman 🤗 also had friends who took magoncia, and no negative feedbacks naman!more
