She requires three papers: two 2-page ones (a report and a reaction paper) and one 8-10 page documented essay (a combination of the report and the editorial). She also requires us to pass initial drafts before the final graded papers so that we're aware of our mistakes. Probably not uno-able; the best works of our class tend to get 1.25.more

I really appreciated this course because of her. Through this class, I understood why Eng 10 was a required course for every undergrad student here in UP. Your final grade's based 40% on short reports/reviews/etc. and 60% on the final documented essay. Ma'am puts great value on improvement, you'll really see your writing style change and get better under her. Mataas standards niya, but I think that goes for most Eng 10 profs. Magaling si Ma'am! She's EXCELLENT :), but if you're looking for an easy 1.00, I suggest you find another instructor. According to my classmates, her standards are high (and if you compare her to other Eng 10 profs), but they are just right for me (this is a college-level English course). One of the best profs I've had. ^_^more

Mabait si Ma'am, medyo mataas ang standards (1.25 usually ang highest), pero very accommodating. Three papers ang pinagawa sa amin dati, then towards the end of the semester hindi na kami nagmeet for class dahil research break na for the final documented essay. She also asks the class to read and critique each other's work.more

She'd take you around the world, through different eras, using 6 landmark literary masterpieces. Creative as well as analytical thinking will be stimulated as you go through each book. You have to prepare 2 questions, 2 good points, and 2 critiques per meeting for the assigned chapter/s (mej hassle lang ng slight). She's really nice, too! :)more
