Chill Saturday slots but I didn't learn anything

Hi just wanna give an updated review (for my experience at least) I took sir for s.y. 2025-2026 1st semester. Tbh I don't like him. As someone who takes academic seriously, this guy is NOT IT. If you are someone who wants to have a chill prof, sure but, if you wanna learn something, go for someone else cause I genuinely didn't learn anything. (He teaches every Saturday, 8am to 11am, 11am to 2pm) - if you are first slot, he started 9am, ends at 10 30am - if 2nd slot, starts 11am, ends 12 30pm Comprehensive review: 1) for the 1st day, during attendance, he will specifically ask the Chinese people what high school you are from (based on your surname). This will be relevant in the end I promise 2) every start of the class, he will share/complain about his corporate slavery life 3) he will end the class under 30 mins - 90 mins just because its a Saturday, we are all tired, lets get over with it 4) when he teaches, there is no powerpoint, he just sits and reads his "notes" Notes: a printed comprehensive summary of chatgpt of the module he is about to discuss. I even saw it with the "Here is a summary", with the happy emoji and the lines that you see in chatgpt. 5) he calls you for recitation but just once or twice in the whole semester 6) the class is very boring and no engagement at all. He just reads his chatgpt printed notes and the room is just silent 7) attendance is EVERYTHING to him. He will call the absent people out. "In the corporate world, I just show up to pa Aircon in the office" If you are absent without an excuse, he will really put a demerit on you "Absent siya? Absent din Yung grades niya" 8) he never grades or replies to any of the discussion boards we do 9) for the paper we submit, it is weirdly low like average of 2.5-3/4 When we ask him why it is like this and how we can improve it, his answer is: "Ok lang yan, ako bahala sa qpi mo just chill ok" Literally no proper feedback, and just reassures you that he is an easy A and he got your back to pull your qpi 10) for the group presentations, he will just look at his phone, then ask 2 question, and that's it 11) when we ask for bonus points opportunities, his answer is yet again " Don't overthink it, easy a ako , ako bahala sa grades mo" 12) there will be quizzes at the end of the class, and he just tells you "a one line sentence is enough do not overthink it" 13) throughout the way, you will literally just rest in his class, and take it as chill as possible cause that's what he told us and he said siya bahala sa qpi namin. But sadly, majority of us got a B, and the people he recognized as "Chinese" got a B+. No A as far as I know. To summarize: Pros: - if you are someone who is chill and go with the flow with acads (not aiming for honors), you can take him - very chill workload, chill classes, and only takes 90mins max from the 3 hour class - gives a guaranteed B as long as YOU SHOW UP, do not be absent, just submit everything he asks - majority of the works are group works, there are peer evals and I know he takes that seriously Cons: - you will not learn anything - the past review say he is an easy A, he is not. My friend group got victimized by this and got a B. For recognized chinese easy B+, but there are some non Chinese who got a B+ because, sir likes them/ sir knows them *I am chinese, but he didn't recognize me as Chinese,hence I got a B, while the recognized chinese got an B+ - your work will NOT BE VALUED. A lot of us went all in just for a 2.5/4 with no explanation or feedback on how to improve Because again, he says, just chill and siya bahala sa qpi namin Overall - sure B minimal effort - B+ if you're recognized as Chinese / he remembers your presence in class - A able? Idk , but for our class B+ is the highest If you are just chilling , u can take him If you wanna learn , do not. you wont learn anything Is he chill enough to help pull my qpi for honors? No unless you're Chinese But, if you want a high chance of the B+ maybe A 1) Always small talk him and chika with him after the class 2) for the 2 qna questions during presentations, answer all of them The only way to get a B+/maybe A, is IF HE REMEMBERS AND KNOWS YOUmore

Halooo 😁 Thereeee! I recently took Sir Lee Hok’s class, LAS 123, during intercession. All I can say is I am DISGUSTED 🤢 TO EVEN CALL THIS GUY A PROF! Please go to any other LAS 123 prof! PLEASE RUN 🏃♂️! He lets us do a presentation almost every session (3 out of the 4 onsite classes we had) and he makes it HIS MISSION to pay 0 attention to your presentation whatsoever. We worked hard to understand and read various cases. After which, we made a detailed presentation which we practiced on prior to the actual presentation day. He simply uses his phone throughout the entire presentation. This is just embarrassing as a prof to do! To make things even worse, he asks the EXACT SAME QUESTION to each group as he pays 0 attention whatsoever on what you have presented. To sum it up 🤡, he grades unjustly and randomly. 💀 I don’t know how this guy even became a prof 😆. His Canvas is so outdated and clearly worded for online classes during the pandemic. He is just lazy! I took the chance on Sir Lee Hok given all the good comments here, but I am UTTERLY DISGUSTED 🤮! To conclude, gradingwise I would say 100% not A-able 🗑️. This has been arguably the worst prof I have ever had 😔!more

hi! I took sir PJ’s class first sem last year and its honestly one of my faves mainly because of him hehe i even took another class with him the next sem lmao for the assessments we just had a few case studies (around 3), and a final paper and presentation which are all by group. we also had DBs that time that automatically got a perfect grade just by answering. hes very understanding when it comes to deadlines just let him know ur reason (must be valid tho lmao). and if the schedule is too tight when it comes to requirements, hes open to changing or removing some. he doesnt like it when students write nonsense reflection papers (that he has to read and grade lol) when it comes to grading he is very generous!!! just do your best and he’ll give u a good grade hehe def A-able ✨ overall one of the best and would take him again for the third time if i could hahahahamore

one of the more manageable and practical professors. Attend regularly, do your requirements, prepare for presentations, and you should be in a good position for a high grade. What I like most is that he doesn’t just stick to the textbook. He connects the frameworks to actual businesses and current events, which makes the lessons more interesting and easier to remember.more
