Sir. Roy focuses on films, so you guys are gonna watch one every week. Recitation is graded and it's mostly about the movies he required you to watch so if you weren't able to attend a synchronous class, you can answer the discussion boards to get a grade. Although, I still you recommend you to attend his class because it's very interesting and you'll learn a lot. I remember the class requested him to extend one of our meetings just because we were having a really good discussion kaya he extended it for 5 minutes HAHA. He's very passionate in teaching and considerate when extending deadlines. Also, his workload isn't that heavy. For our class, we only had four major requirements: Reflection Paper, 2 Podcasts that are about 30 to 45 minutes long (which you'll realize is too short of a time lalo na if you and your groupmates are madaldal), and a Movie Essay. Only the Reflection Paper is individual, while the rest are by groups of three or four. That said, at least one person in the group should be good at editing (especially for the Movie Essay). He grades reasonably and gives clear comments - particularly, for the Podcasts - so make sure to apply them on your second Podcast. He's definitely A-able kaya if I were you I'd go get him! cc:more

the equivalent of a warm hug on a rainy day and a hot chocolate on a sad and cold day — a serotonin booster 😩 one of my faves and one of the best classes i’ve ever taken! film has always been my first love so i have a lot of love for it already but sir taught the class so well, had a lot of insights, was so passionate in teaching, and is clearly very much in love with film as well that you learn to love it EVEN more. he had us write a free-form essay abt our fave film (not rlly graded), a movie review (of ur choosing, individual), and the rest (2 + final req) were podcasts (group) revolving the different module topics — he had us watch a couple of films (on our own time) and then we would meet up as a class to have a discussion abt it (super chill and fun) — just show up in class and listen, watch the films, participate in the movie discussions, & do all the reqs and u’ll have that A (he grades high!) i had fun AND learned while making the requirements <3 LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE ~ all love and light <333 hope ur classroom’s aircon doesn’t (sometimes) break thomore

so true! super enjooooy ang class! make sure to recite at least once a session or every other session then you'll def get an A for recitation super easy requirements as well, just be very opinionated about the films you'll be tackling and i think you'll be fine. easy A with 20% effort siguro! 😂more

hello! i had sir last sem and omg best artap prof!! (he was a TBA prof so i kinda had doubts but super solid) HAHAHA i love his lectures cos its rlly interesting (its abt the film industry!! idk if it will change this sem tho) and he gives good grades ♡ i think we only had 4 reqs the entire sem and more on dbs which are v light lang,, if ure not able to attend his synch classes (and obv wasnt able to recite) make sure to answer the dbs so he can give u a grade,, sir is rlly nice!! make sure to attend his synch classes if u can cos he got tampo with our class last sem cos onti lang talaga nagaattend :< yun lang hehe would recommend 100/10 HAHA,, goodluck!more

best prof ever!!! the whole course revolved around films and sir is super tropa vibes lang. I rly enjoyed his course and I learned sm + it rly changed the way i watch films 😅 was also his beadle and he honestly made my job so easy cuz he replies so fast and he was very hands on and understanding whenever the class would have any concerns 😊more
