Uhm personally I think he grades high when he feels like it. Our semester fell under men’s bball uaap season then he’ll scare us na when Ateneo loses, he is in a bad mood to grade (kasi he’s a devout fan LOL)
But otherwise, if you answer the questions in the quiz, you get a C. If you answer it supported by lecture concepts, you get a B. If you answer it like a magis, you get an A. Pero don’t worry he usually gives “smiley faces” when you recite something profound *sometimes*. Smiley faces are added incentives to your quizzes, they add about 0.2 to your score. So if you get a B and you have three smileys (you have to draw this on the top right of your crosswise), 3.0 + 0.6 =3.6 so you get a B+
He also has a requirement that is art related. Just think outside the box, he appreciates physical outputs and if it has a rich story behind it. This output is an easy A to bump your grades.
For the midterms. FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS. I personally know someone who wrote back to back the yellow pad and they automatically got a D. But otherwise if you did follow the instructions, you have to be very very good at answering the thesis questions lol, idk if he’ll give it to you in advance but please deconstruct the phrases and be very particular about it. He’s very particular din about instructions pati rin sa Quiz.
In the final orals which is tied to nstp, please for the love of God just study your own presentation. Recall concepts and insights from his lectures (pls attend all of them) just in case but primarily focus on your presentation. That’s all I can say.
btw not an easy A. B+ with effort. B if u attend and listen to all his lectures, he doesn’t count cuts but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t attend.
He’s very nice and approachable. Tell him if you’re struggling, he’s human as well, im sure he’s always happy to help.more

Essay quizzes need every clause or the grade drops

His quizzes are essays, wherein he'll flash a question on the screen and u have the whole period to write & u can leave if u finish early. Usually takes 30 mins lang tbh. But he expects deep understanding, in both technical/objective level and also personal level. Always put examples. Ensure to remember the important themes/purpose of each concept kasi he expects complete 100% talaga. In one quiz i got most of it but i forgot one of the important "clauses" or phrases about the concept and got a C+ agad bc it was important daw talaga to include 😅 so really dont leave anything out at all!!! Just study well & super listen to his lectures and take notes and explain as much as possible in the quizzes and you'll do okay!
Same with the midterm, its the same thing but longer, took up a whole yellow pad back & forth. But he was less strict in expecting it to be super complete!
As for the final orals presentation, just get super super good groupmates. He gave us an A bc he could see how much we cared about the sector of our nstp (e.g., we gave each kid an individual slide and talked about hm we loved them haha) and since we were able to kinda answer most of his questions. Our group worked on the presentation together onsite and also practiced the presentation since each member has to be super prepared and aligned. Really integrate the lessons into ur nstp and also restudy all the important concepts bc he'll ask questions after making u relate nstp with your lessons.
Overall, def B+able with solid effort, but you'll enjoy the effort naman since he makes it interesting. Just really about being able to explain the topics very very very well & completelymore

I never wanted to skip his class even if it was really early in the morning because his discussions were always engaging and thought provoking, and I honestly wish I could take his class again. He always included quotes, poems, or short sayings in his presentations, and they always hit in a way that made the lessons feel more meaningful. His quizzes are all essay type, he flashes one question on the screen, and you have the whole period to answer. And honestly based on my experience, he really wants to see an answer that’s new, out of the box, and offers an insight that goes beyond what was discussed in class. Even though I didn’t always score high on the quizzes, I still ended with a B because he’s very generous with bonus points, he gives “smiley faces” when you recite in class and he likes your answer, and these "smiley faces" get added to your quiz score. He’s also very particular with instructions, especially in major requirements, so you really have to follow them carefully. The defense orals were especially hard for me since my group got abortion as a topic (and this was the hardest one and i felt unlucky when we got this 😭), but didn't regret it naman :)) cause when he sees genuine effort and understanding, he grades generously. Overall, it’s not an easy A, but definitely B+ able with effort, and the class is genuinely worth taking because he makes the learning experience meaningful.more

100% get Sir Lenon the goat & legend! He’s definitely not an easy A, but a-able if you put in the effort and get good groupmates. Easy B to B+ in my opinion, because he does not like giving low grades. His discussions are fun, making Theo enjoyable.
Afaik, his requirements are quizzes (easy as long as you listened to his lectures), a written midterm exam, an individual output, and group finals (connected to your NSTP). He’s also generous in giving plus points. Defo take him if you can!more

SIR LENON 🥹🥹🫶🫶 its been a while since ive had him as my prof (for theo 11 tho) but if u grew up in a catholic high school and/or in a catholic family, he rly challenges ur views on religion in a way that can deepen ur understanding of the religion or of ur faith, and given the topics of theo 12, he may do smth similar for theo 12. he also loves and cares sm for his students!! He’ll rly listen to u if u have problems in life, and if u have a grpmate that freeloads and report that to him, he will side with u. highkey go for himmore

Don’t worry he’s a-able with effort if ever. I got an A in his class (took him during 2nd semester, s/y 24-25).
Just make sure you listen to him, his lectures are fun so it won’t be hard. Also, when answering his requirements connect your life experiences with things you learned during his lecture.more

no, i was super qpi conscious during first year pero his lessons we’re worth it.
also he does not fail students (like u could legit fail all the quizzes and the lowest u could get is like a D kahit u fail all LTs and quizzes) he doesnt like failing students. pero he will fail if u don’t go to class like ever (as in ever to the point na he knows fs u went to class like once or twice lang the whole sem)
he also does not count attendance! so its unli cut (but none of us would cut his classes bc his lectures were so engaging)
his 8am classes were so worth it!!!more

But overall his class is really enjoyable, its the kind of class where you not just learn but aso have fun while doing it :)
Side note: He is a big fan of the UAAP mens basketball team, should they play next season I recommend attending a few games since he gives out “happy faces” (or plus points) for attendeesmore

also had him for Theo 12 and it’s still the best class i’ve ever taken in Ateneo! i got a B+ from him, which is very doable imo. as long as you put in the effort into understanding the lessons and you know how to articulate your thoughts - you’ll be okay! he also gives so many bonus points for the quizzes lol
