i have returned with a review! 😗 maam anjo is rly makalat when she lectures… she spent three weeks on one module and ended up removing the last module from the syllabus cos we didn’t have time anymore. sometimes she asks questions during lectures and she’s looking for such a specific answer and it takes us forever to get the answer because no one really know what kind of answer she’s looking for so yeah those are the lecture vibes in terms of grading, everything AND I MEAN EVERYTHING is over 3 points oNLY. from dboards to final papers,,, lahat na ! also shes so particular about the answers in dboards (even tho they’re based on 60+ page readings and have a 250-word limit) so if you didn’t “expound well” she’ll deduct a point 😬 she usually gives the readings only 2 days before the dboard is due tho so theres not a lot of time to comprehend all of it (speaking for myself) genuinely, the topic material of the class was really really nice and i would have enjoyed it more if she gave us more time to read the texts . ended up w a B+ but i thought it was gonna be lower based on my scores so i think she curves a little bit?more

Hello! I personally liked ma’am Lorenzana as a prof(siguro personality nya? HAHA) (tho medyo magulo talaga sya so i dont take notes anymore 🤣) Most people get B-A naman and I think she grades fairly high imo (i personally got an A) She doesnt really follow the syllabus din from what i remember like wala talagang test/quizzes (so medyo shookt ako nun kasi your ability to adapt is really challenged HAHAHA ) and we had 2 presentations and 3 papers (tbh the papers were pretty difficult :^( i didnt know what i was doing) i had her for onsite classes and i think what helped a lot was that i recited like every class HAHA (pero to translate to online class, siguro consult often) & also that your answers should really be based on the reading!! Yun lang Good luck 🥺❤️ Overall I think she’s pretty great and is really smart & knows her stuff!more

Had her for online classes, but for SOCSC 12. Honestly, she is very understanding and approachable, but the amount of readings she gave was A LOT. Not to mention, during synchronous sessions, her powerpoints tended to be direct excerpts from the readings so... honestly was like her telling the readings to us HAHAHAH Her grading scheme is alao kind of weird, she graded all discussion boards and essays out of 3 (the essays were on a criteria basis; i.e. quality of sources was 1 point, style of writing was another, etc.) My last gripe was she kind of made it so that 70% of the grade was based on 2 essays, and these were both given a bit before the Christmas break and due finals week. Tho again, she is very kind and A-able, especially if you clarify and consult with hermore

Had her for SocSc 12 last sem and she has been really considerate in the online setting! She grades fast (and high) and even provides substantial feedback in the assignment comments. The workload is a lot given that she likes assigning multiple long and complex readings per module, but she's flexible with her deadlines if you ask her to extend. Modules usually follow the format of her giving the readings, then asking you to do a graded discussion board. During synch classes it's tough to follow her lectures and slides so I relied on the readings instead of my lecture notes when doing my assignments. Other than that it's easy to reach her through email and Canvas whenever you need to consult about the lesson.more

I had ma'am when we had onsite classes📚 I don't really think you have to worry, ma'am grades fairly high and it's not impossible to get an A (Most people got like B - A). Watchout lang medyo magulo siya magturo and lecture. She also gives super long readings ☠☠☠. However, if you adapt to this and consult with her you can get better scores. Shes approachable as long as you dont get her angry (she rarely gets angry but dont make her mad din) She doesnt give quizzes (im not sure if this applies for online class) but she gives a lot of papers. Make sure you choose interesting topics for your final paper. Overall, shes good naman! I think you will appreciate the course more if you are updated sa global news.more

Had Dr. Anjo last academic year and I had fun but that's because I really like research. Lectures mostly consisted of them talking about the assigned reading/s with some slides as a guide. Sometimes nagpaparecit siya but manageable naman if you read. I enjoyed some of the readings which were interesting research papers!! Towards the end of the semester puro consultation and feedback. Especially loved how they paid attention to each group's topic and gave good feedback. Also very open to consultations! For grades idk if any group in our class got an A hahaha they grade fairly!more

Sir Peter gives long readings, long lectures (depends on the elective though)...tapos he calls on random people to answer his questions about them. the good thing about his lectures is he has lots of videos (hopefully he does the same for your class because when i had him, the course was "cultural studies of technology"). he gives a quiz every other meeting or so which are either about the last lesson or the reading. you'll learn a lot about the subjects tackled in the course and you'll be more observant of the environment and everyone in it. basically, you'll learn to be more critical :))more
