She is a very nice prof. Always open for consultations. No exams just 4 papers (report, reaction, concept and position papers- you choose your own topics :D). Be creative and think outside the box when writing papers! She checks them thoroughly and she always leaves a note :) don't expect much for grades unless you're real goodmore

Hindi strict si Ma'am Sarah. Lagi siyang nakangiti at magaling siya makisama sa mga students niya. Kabisado niya nga lahat ng nicknames namin eh. Super cool talaga ni Ma'am. Tutulungan ka talaga sa paggawa ng papers mo. Kahit mali-mali pa yung grammar mo, hindi ka niya lalaitin. Madami kang matutunan sa kanya.

Requirements: Attendance, midterms, recitation every meeting, final paper, reaction paper. Super cool na prof. She will really develop the way you analyze things, to always read between the lines. Though mataas yung standards niya, sobrang dami namang matututunan so take her!!more

She always gives time for consultations kasi gusto niyang i-guide ang student to make sure he/she is on the right path. She gives constructive criticisms which helps a lot. Fair siyang magbigay ng grade and really understands that NOT EVERYBODY IS A WRITER. It doesn't matter if you'll use deep english words. Mas tinitignan niya talaga ang content.more

Ma'am Sarah is really fun and mabait. However, if you are grade conscious, mahihirapan kang maka-uno sa kanya though She explains naman the lessons really well, gives writing techniques that can really be used in the "real" world, at sobrang makakatulong yung criticisms niya (all are constructive). She's very open and liberal sa lahat ng opinyon.more

You only need two major papers, some quizzes, and the departmental final exam for her subject. She really wants her students to develop writing skills, so medyo dun si Ma'am nakaconcentrate. She judges your work fairly, too. Nagpapaconsult naman si Ma'am ng final paper mo before ipass, for some grammar errors, and additional insights you could add.more

Sobrang bait ni maam, cool and chill pa. Kahit mom na siya, bagets na bagets pa rin siya. 2 papers, tapos maraming classroom activities kaya marami ka din makikilala, nagbibigay din siya ng time to pass drafts. Okay lang siya. Yung mga discussions namin super nakaka-antok (kase nga naman tanghali). Isang beses lang kami nag LE which is essay tapos puro reporting. Walang finals, final paper lang. Mabait naman siya pero pag sa reporting, kailangan alam ko yung report mo at maghanda ka sa mga questions kasi babarahin ka talaga niya.more

She knows that not everyone is a writer, and takes that into consideration when grading. Her constructive criticisms will surely improve your writing skills! I learned a lot from her, and she's super helpful. She's open to all kinds of writing styles, and hella cool and chill. 10/10 would recommend.more

My favorite prof last sem. She teaches really well, keeps students engaged with interactive discussions. Is open to everyone's ideas/opinions. Always there for consultation on papers and gives constructive criticism. Workload is just right. Mataas standards niya so kapag mataas grade mo alam mong maganda yung paper mo. Take her! You'll learn a lot!more

Super chill and fun. We had four written requirements to submit: report, reaction paper, concept paper, and position paper. She gives constructive criticisms and understands that not everyone is a writer so she eases you into it. Accepts all kinds of writing styles. Hmm... mahina ako sa english so hnd ko xur kung accurate toh. Anyway, 4 papers: report, reaction, concept, position. 1-2 pages sa first two and 6-8 pages sa last two (nagchange from 4-8 during 1st day nya T_T) Approachable si maam: she's gonna give opinions pero hnd ka nya masyado bibigyan ng idea just how to improve it lang which is good :))more

She's very helpful and very approachable. Kadalasan nagpapagroup works sya sa class. Quizzes madadaling topic lang. You can consult her about the required papers too and will give you constructive criticisms on how to improve your work. If you give enough effort and insights on writing activities, you will pass and earn a high grade :)more

Definitely not unoable, but the experience is really worth it. Got my lowest grade in this sem from her, but I don't regret taking this class. Her readings are the best and she is really a TEACHER, she will guide you, help you to get better, and does not judge you for wrong grammars lol. She really gives CONSTRUCTIVE criticisms.more

Ma'am is the definition of a SOLID ENGLISH PROF. First, she gives a lot of lectures/workshops to show you what good writing is and what she expects. Second, she gives you A LOT of free cuts to work on your paper. Lastly, she gives the BEST CRITIQUE on your work so that you can improve it come the final draft. When the sem first started, I dreaded going to class because she uses the harkness method, in which your insights are graded based on their depth every meeting, and I'm very shy and have mediocre communication skills. But her class really helped me step out of myself and taught me to become a good reader. Super worth it. My favorite class last sem.more

Bit of rigid and enjoyable, marunong magturo si ma'am. Hindi ko hilig ang English subjects pero natuto naman ako sa kanya. You need to take down notes talaga at basahin ung articles. She has clear favorites in the class, and I fell on the opposite spectrum. You can tell by the way she grades daily (she uses the Harkness method) or on your papers. Her favorite could say some generic crap and get an uno for the day. She has a great class, but grading in extremely subjective bc she says it's by the, "depth of your insights."more
