I really can't blame him, though, since his forte is Creative Writing, so you can't really expect much from what he lectures during the class. It was not interactive (partly because the class was not answering him whenever he asks questions), but he gives out honest, clear, and informative comments when he gives back our work.more

I learned a lot from him. Maybe it's because of his laid back vibe and soft voice kaya medyo boring. I got a high grade from him even though I know that I didn't do my best. He criticizes papers well, and basta tama grammar, spelling, use of punctuation, okay ka na.

Our class discussions are often monotonous. Pero I have to commend Sir Manalo for really trying to engage the students' attention. Minsan magjojoke siya out of nowhere and then we laugh because the joke didn't sell. Sir Manalo, nevertheless, really knows what he's talking about.more

Okay si sir. Mabait siya sobra. Hindi ka niya papahiyain. He critics papers bluntly pero ginagawa niya yon para magimprove sa 2nd draft. Gives low grades sa papers but he gave me a higher grade than I expected. I think he looks at your improvement so try to improve with every paper.more

Sir is very intelligent, to a point that it gets overwhelming. But I can honestly say that Eng 10 under him made me a more mature writer and looking back, it was very fulfilling. To say he makes you think would be an understatement. He's also very considerate and always concerned about the welfare of his students! You get the grade you deserve. :)more

Although maraming readings they're fun and before you know it natapos mo na pala yung reading. He's very very smart so sometimes... walang nakakasagot sa tanong niya (which is very awkward). Only two papers and attendance for the grade.more

Sir Manalo is some kind of genius. He can connect any idea you throw at him sa discussion and unpack it. Kala ko strict, but he's really nice. Available for consultation, nice feedback, gives back papers. Ppl say he's boring but i disagree. He connected Chickenjoy, current events, memes sa lectures namin. Interesting topics for assigned papersmore

you can be in quite for a shock the first time he grades your drafts. however, he gives lots of constructive criticisms and one-on-one consultations for your papers, which boost your grade.class may get a bit boring at times, pero maraming fun facts & trivia si sir when that happens (may na demo na trading card game once sa class!) mabait si sir!!!more

Sir is really passionate about what he teaches and really motivates you to learn. He has been one of the best profs I've ever had, but the only downside i can see about him being a prof is that he can't handle noise well.more

Despite the class being late almost all the time, Sir is very considerate because he knows it's difficult to wake up for an 8:30am class. Sir is very passionate about what he teaches and he is also helpful in bringing out the best in his students. Exams are difficult though but you can redeem yourself in the papers. Eng 23 is worth taking under himmore

First half ng sem sobrang hindi ako nag enjoy, pero nung second half na i started to enjoy sir. minsan havey yung jokes niya, pero may times na hindi ko siya ma gets. siguro effort nalang sa class kasi mabait naman siyamore
