BAWAL MA-LATE! Strikto sa attendance. Kakandaduhin niya ang mga pinto kapag dumating na siya sa klasrum. Pero sulit ang pagpunta sa mga klase niya dahil marami kang matututunan tungkol sa wika at kulturang Filipino. May 2 exam (na mahirap), 1 group report (na kailangang paghandaan talaga), 1 final paper, at class participation. Good luck.more

Ma'am is approachable and considerable but blunt. She is meticulous when it coms to Reportings, Papers and Attendance to name some of the handful requirements that she will give, bu nonetheless invokes the students to creatively and critically think about the course and its implications. Hindi ko alam if possible mauno si maam pero no doubt you can still get a line of 1 grade from her basta mag-effort sa ibang requirements. If you're just looking for an uno, wag ka kay Ma'am Paz. Readings and papers galore and definitely one of those ge's that feel like majors. However, if you're looking for the learning experience- magaling si Ma'am. She's very interesting and obviously knows what she is talking about. You get a +0.25 if you're never late or absent.more

Magaling magturo si ma'am at masaya ang bawat klase niya. Sa unang mga araw nagbibigay siya ng assignments. Yung readings namin 5 articles lang. Siguro kung di mo kayang basahin yon sobrang tamad mo na. Pinag-uusapan ang readings sa klase. Siguraduhin mong nakikinig ka sa bawat dinidiscuss sa klase kasi malaki ang tyansang lumabas yon sa exam. :)more

Magiging aware ka sa kalagayan ng wikang Filipino sa Pilipinas. Nakakatuwa yung sa bawat klase nya dahil nga kultura ang pinag-uusapan, parang mas nakikilala mo pa ang sarili mo bilang isang Filipino. May mga times na mapapasabi ka nga "ay oo nga noh, ginagawa ko yan." Dalawang beses ang reporting at exams. Mas mamahalin mo ang Filipino dito.more

Sobrang Daming matututunan sa kanya at fun pa sya magturo. Ang daming tawa habang nagkaklase. Relateable din sya sa real life. Mahirap ang first exam nya. Mejo tricky at kailangan talaga nakikinig sa kanya. Kahit maliit na detalye di pwede idismiss. I wont consider it unoable but the learnings are more important anyway. Highly recommended!more

She's kind and has a lot of insight about the Filipino language. Also, if you listen and read enough, you will understand more the value of Filipino. Attendance is very much required (5 mins late only). Late works are also not accepted. Not uno-able but you can get a high grade.more

Just got a 1.5. Lessons seem to just repeat each other and almost half of the time is just spent on group reports. Boring class. You're required to answer an unreasonable hard exam, and to submit an 8 page final paper with a very vague topic given to you. On the first week, you'll already be required to submit a 6 page summary of various readings.more

Motherly and magaling. Super bait. Looks scary at first pero joke lang yun. She does this cue cards thing for attendance na medyo intimidating hahaha. Do your best to be active in class para makilala ka ni maam. Medj paulit ulit yung mga lessons. Sobrang hirap talaga ng first exam kaya galingan nalang sa mga papers, group report at final exam. Make sure to submit all requirements and attend all the classes, and you'll pass. Don't try to study na for the exams kasi babagsak ka rin naman haha. Maam knows her subject well and is very passionate about Filipino, pero her reqs and readings are quite OA. If you listen you'll learn, pero dont expect na mabubuhat ang gwa mo rito.more

Maraming nagsasabi na ayaw nila kay Prof. Vina, pero kakatapos ko lang ng Fil 40 niya at ang saya- no joke. Ang dami kong natutunan at na-eexplain niya nang maayos 'yung problema ng wika at kultura. Very passionate talaga. Cons lang is 'pag late, nanlolock siya ng pinto pero 'di siya namamahiya + online quizzes pero walang nakakapasa (minamagic naman).
