If you're a student who handles a lot of paper works, specially for your degree, Ma'am is a great help! :). Masipag si ma'am magbalik ng papers, at although "basura" talaga ang papers mo haha tiyaga niya itong bibigyan ng comments para ma-improve haha, very nice si ma'am at willing to help and is a great debater. Mahirap talaga kay ma'am. Pero kung gusto mo talagang matuto then take her class. Sa experience ko eh maganda siyang foundation mo para sa Eng 10. Parang masungit si ma'am pero sa labas ng class ang bait bait niya at namamansin. Mahirap magrecite sa class dahil "don't say it, show it in words"

Highly values class discussions. Expects you to read assigned readings and submit all requirements on time, follow house rules, listen really attentively, recite every time. Interesting reading list. Gives a lot of helpful comments in papers, returns them promptly. She's the prof for you if you truly want to learn and expand your mind :)more

MA'AM IS MORE THAN WORTH IT! Take her ENG11 class & you'll see that she is so full of passion & knowledge for literature. She's very open-minded. Her readings are relatively short, fun & yet appropriate. I actually didn't find it a hassle to read them & participate in class. Don't be deceived. Ma'am can look snobby, but she's really nice. One of the best professors I have. You'll learn so much from her class. She has many life stories to tell in class and she always encourages everyone to recite and do their best. Mahirap yung English 10 under her. Pero mapupush ka talagang magtino. True yung medyo ibabash niya yung papers mo pero, in the end, makikita mo na aayos yung writing skills mo. Sobrang dami kong natutunan kay Ma'am. Sobrang nakakahyper din yung class nya kahit 5:30-7 yung nakuha ko kasi nafeel ko talaga yung passion ni Maam sa pagtuturo at sa tinuturo nya. Hindi ko inexpect yung final grade ko kasi she only gives qualitative scores sa essays tapos objective and subjective yung tatlong LE. SOBRANG WORTH IT.more

Ma'am is really good at what she's doing; she's really passionate about English Literature. Her questions during the discussions are based on the readings so it's not really hard to participate as long as you understood the readings. The readings are interesting, too!more

She's a very passionate teacher. She can be scary at times although reasonable! You really have to do your assignments. So, if super tamad and patapon ka... Don't take her. But, if you're willing to do the hassle HW, go take her kasi her class is really fun!more

Medyo nakakaiyak having her as a prof but YOU WILL LEARN A LOT. She doesn't deny that her methods are emotionally and mentally draining. She's very particular about how you write and cite. She appreciates it when you recite so that she's not rambling all the time. (In my class, many people will dropped and you'll see why.)more

Do not go to class unprepared. She is really passionate and patient in teaching this course especially with criticizing papers. Like most of the reviews here, Prof. Kristine is definitely one of the professors you should take if you want to improve your writing. She is hands down one of the good ones in DECL, and she gives great critique on outputs. She constantly challenges her students to think and write better. You need to know how to do proper citations before going into her class, or learn while you're in her class.more
