Chill, spoonfed, zero readings, but syllabus is off

Hi! The reason is because it's his first time teaching in Ateneo this semester. He's a chill prof, we literally have zero (0) readings (except for annotation activities na need gawin). But there are no required readings for each class/module. Honestly, he teaches like we're highschool students. Lowkey spoonfeeding lang lahat. We have an assessment (he calls it recit, he says it's for the class participation) almost every meeting na about sa diniscuss nya rin during that class so as long as you're paying attention, you can answer it. You'll also be the one recording it sa index cards na pinrovide nya. No midterms/finals orals as well. Cons: his activities don't align with what's written in the syllabus. We have a few reflection papers & annotations that were not stated in the syllabus at all. He also announces last minute class cancellations. As of grading, I have yet to receive any numerical grade or feedback on activities as of now, 3 weeks before the semester ends. TLDR; don't get him if you like everything planned out for you. Lahat surprise— assessment during classes, sudden activities (binibigyan nya naman enough time to complete) and even class cancellations. Pati siguro grade mo surprise. Get him if you want a super chill easy theology subject. Just not sure how he grades. He used to be a TBA prof so it was a risk din talaga. Take this as a grain of salt because bago siya. He might be figuring things out then mag-iba sa next semester.more

Best THEO 13 prof, funny no-gadgets class, light workload

The BEST prof I have taken in ADMU. I had him for THEO 13 and I looked forward to his classes every single session. It is a no gadgets class but sobrang funny niya talaga na you won’t even notice its a no gadgets class. Wouldn’t say the workload is heavy at all, a few papers here and there but 10/10 recommend. If you can take him you won’t regret it.more

He’s a chill prof, has controversial takes — but his quizzes are online. HOWEVER, we have no idea how he grades…. you can write the most insightful paper and he’ll give you a C, or sometimes he can put zero effort and get an A. As if he roulettes the grades tbh.more
