hello posting my review since a lot of people have asked me for it:
i took him for 2nd Sem SY2022-2023
[Pros]
- super considerate, u can easily consult with him abt anything
- relatively light workload, i think we only had:
• 2 indiv papers (that if u jus answer the questions straight u’ll be fine)
• 2 group papers (same as the first but u’ll need to interview a company to do an HR audit, he’ll assign groupings)
• 1 midterm (25 questions na multiple choice abt module 0,1, and 6)
• 1 final oral presentation about ur company (basically combine ur two grp papers)
- this class was one of my least stressful ones for the sem
[Cons]
- tricky because he only grades out of 4 so getting a 3 is already passing, make sure to answer all the paper questions in relation to what he said in lectures
- modules are loooonnnggg af, just like his lectures. i broke my no games on my ipad rule bc of his 3 hr class lol. tbh, i didn’t go thru all of them naman. however, for the midterm, go extensively in the mods (0,1,6) bc it could be tricky
- i think our average was a B-B+ (i ended B+ with minimal effort, one paper messed me up lang i think since i got a 3/4), then most people got messed up in the midterm as well
- but i think kaya A as long as u set aside time for it (i didn’t bc my majors were stressful af)

HEYA MASH i was eb’s classmate :> he’s makwento but bc of that he makes 9am sat classes not too heavy! although even if his kwentos are fun and related to the topic it can get quite draggy rin. he’s a really nice prof too and easy to talk to! he gave old tito vibes (he talks abt his children and grandchildren a lot)
he doesnt share his ppts and im not sure if the lecture content is completely consistent with the canvas modules so it’s best to take notes during class
his workload is really light and easy to manage! as long as u listen well in class there’s no need for hard reviewing. ++ the dept exam was only 20-30 items at most which is objective and multiple choice pa. the rest of the assessments were quite subjective already
i’d say fairly easy b+ for this class. it’s a plus if you get good grpmates ! shoutout colyn eb annika and steph 🫶more

hello mash!! had sir manolet last sem and i found his class nice overall! his classes seem chill since he’s very makwento but a lot of his side stories still connect to the lectures. he also appreciates it if you/your group consults with him often and he’s patient enough to answer questions and give detailed insights.
there were times though where i felt that his modules had info overload and i had a hard time preparing for the departmental. but you can pull up your grade with the major reqs! they’re basically more heavy on analysis with indiv and group case studies. if you can thoroughly analyze and apply HR topics in the context of the assignment, you’d be good to go!
i find sir’s grading fair and you can get high marks with effort :> hehe hope this helps!!more

I had him for LS 100. In terms of teaching, he's okay. I think you can learn more from other profs but he's really nice and the class is pretty chill. I wasn't bored during class also because I found his stories interesting. He has an LT, WACs, and a final group report. Grade-wise, class average was a B.more

Took him during intercession, which turned out to be mostly online. But the onsite classes we took with him were a pretty enjoyable experience. He's pretty nice, he prob teaches diff tho during intercession cuz everythinf is so packedmore

He's good!! Pretty chill !! Tends to take a lot of time discussing though (as in sometimes, he only got through two slides in one session) but he's very nice!! My only advice is to constantly keep reading the LS 100 book and the Powerpoints and you're good to go.. His LT's are multiple choice.. Average class grade is B/B+more

Sir Manos highly recommend!
Even though Sir had to learn much of the processes of online teaching, he was able to integrate them well and maximize our synchronous sessions and Canvas brilliantly!
Was definitely worth to wake up at 8am on Saturdays to attend our synchronous sessions!
He was also very understanding of everybody’s pace with our modules and lessons - he was very open to feedback and even sharing of thoughts both asynchronously and synchronously! 🤗more

Sir Manolet is very kind and fatherly. He makes a lot of kwento during lessons kaya his discussions are engaging. Get good groupmates! The bulk of your grade will come from groupworks. When you write for individual papers, make sure you go straight to the point and think of the case from a HR perspective. He has a couple of quizzes/tests but they're announced naman and I found them easy. Take notes since I don't think he gives his slides. I loved him during our defense—his questions are relevant and make sense but it was delivered in a way na hindi nakakatakot so you won't be anxious to answer. Good luck!more

- parang common sense pero parang hindi rin hahaha. fun to learn tho
synchs:
- he’s a pretty good prof! parang kwentuhan lang ung mga synch which can be fun and slightly boring hahaha.
- mine was 3 hrs long so my mind was going elsewhere
- try to recite cause he grades recitation at the end of the sem

- final exam ung nagpapapababa ng grade haha i scored 1.32/4 which pulled my grade down a lot, but just study for it you’ll be ayts
