I'm pretty sure you can't choose a prof naman for Bio 1, but swerte mo kung siya makukuha mo. Great prof.

I've heard a lot of bad things about BIO 1, but this prof made it seem like BIO 1 is something to love (and in a way, it is). A lot of effort must be put in though--for his exams are comprehensive and difficult. I don't know if this counts, but he's very cute too (Haha).more

You're lucky if he's your prof! Sabi ng friend ko, monotonous siya mag-discuss but for me he's really good. He entertains all questions. Super mabait si sir and appreciative talaga as in. Kelangan lang ng effort sa reqs and sipag mag-review. If you review, swear, easy ang exam! Nasa lectures at discussions lang ang coverage. Mag-aral ka lang. :)more
Sir Velarde made like a minimum of 3 jokes per session on biology being "so interesting" and trying to get students to shift; in short, he really loves the subject and will not shy away from showing you the fun side of it. madugo yung technical parts, yes, but in the end it's really just the stuff you learned in HS Biology. enjoy his humor plsmore

Nakakatakot na mag-Bio 1, pero you're one lucky student kung makuha mo siya. Haha. He's literally one of my favorite profs this sem! He tries to make his lectures understandable as possible, plus he seems to like entertaining questions. Hinding-hindi ka magsisi na makuha mo siya for lectures. :D With exams naman, aralin mo lang lectures and listen.more

The Best! Mahirap man ang lessons na tinuturo nya, he will find a way to make you understand kahit na mag one on one session kayo. He was so kind that he scheduled a one on one class for me of all his lessons and it turned out to be very easy. Really approachable! There is never a weird and stupid question for him. He also uploads slides.more

He's so enthusiastic about the subject matter that it's actually kind of infectious. Always open to questions and answers them clearly. Exams aren't even that hard as long as you pay attention in class and take lots of notes.more

Can't pick a Bio prof pero if you get him then you're a few of the lucky ones. Prof changed mid-sem though. Some of the topics he covered were taught na during high school so brush up on specific terms. His exams are situational so make sure you understand the discussions. No quizzes, group works lang and an exam. Overall great prof, funny pa!more
