for me, it was not heavy naman as a subject. i really enjoyed it and it was more like a relaxing and fun subject that you can look forward to, especially when your other subjects are quite heavy na for assessments w choreo, most of the choreo can be learned within the class period since coach also divides his choreo into parts which he teaches per session. his choreo is also easy to pick up, just make sure you listen and actually try it in class. ask him also if you get confused with the moves for assessments with freestyle naman, this is mostly a test of how you can combine the basic moves he teaches! so long as you integrate the basic moves being taught, you can get a high mark, even without complicated freestyling for our finals, i remember it being a group/crew battle where you and your group will create choreos (can be solo, duo, crew) and battle another group. this is really fun since you can explore the moves taught in class and other dance moves that you wanna do. it was manageable because coach gives a lot of time and i think around 3 or 4 meetings for your group to create choreo workload is easy since most is done in class. if you want to do well or even perfect the dances, you may have to practice a bit outside of class but how i saw it is like daily exercise so that i could manage my time better HAHA overall, his class is both manageable and fun! coach also gives comments and encourages us. he also grades high if this is something you're worried about. i would say na he's an easy A, especially if he sees you listen, participate, and put effort in class you're in good hands with coach miah! good luckkmore

coach jeremiah is my teacher for PHYED 157 - STREETDANCE this sem though baka it may be different from dancing (?) if that’s the course name but hope this still helps the sem is divided into two parts so first half of the sem is hiphop and second half is house: for hiphop we have a vocab assessment, choreo assessment and a group dance battle then for house we have a vocab assessment and a choreo assessment. (if ur group wins the group dance battle you’ll be exempted from the house vocab assessment so yay!) • he’s super lenient with giving us more days to practice for assessments the class just has to have a consensus • when he teaches the dance steps during class sometimes he moves too fast (though baka ako lang because im a slow learner esp when it comes to choreo but the steps/choreo arent super hard naman u just need to practice at home if ure like me) +++ addtl info im super bad at footwork so yung ibang steps (esp sa house vocab) medj nahirapan ak but w/ practice keri naman haha • from my observation he doesn’t really give failing scores and he passed all of us sa assessments! • i think the only taxing assessment for me was the group dance battle since u have to think up of ur own choreo and there’s like 5 rounds of the battle overall he’s a pretty cool and chill teacher and he’s definitely A-ble but w/ a bit of effort if ure not that good at dancingmore

The course covers the basics of hip hop and house dance. From what I can remember, for both, you will do one assessment where you go through the moves Sir taught (to be more specific, it's kind of a freestyle for hip hop, then he calls out the moves for house) and one choreo (which Sir teaches). For hip hop (which takes up more of the course), Sir also has an assessment where the class either comes up with their own choreo, or has a dance battle. It sounds a bit daunting, but really, Sir grades super high so long as there's effort, and he gives enough time to practice in class. You should be fine even if you're a beginner!more

I took his fundamental dance class so idk the workload for hiphop. But his workload is generally manageable, its sometimes heavy but he’s always willing to adjust his deadlines. Furthermore, practicals are always group works kaya most likely someone competent would help you, mostly dancing or basic steps ang performance task nya. Like you would only encounter a full dance at the end of the sem. Tldr: somewhat heavy workload but generally manageable and very flexible with deadlines.more

Have him for pe this sem, and I can say with full confidence that he is super chill!! Very considerate, passionate about dancing, and he's willing to teach everyone in class whether you're an experienced dancer or not. An important note is that he doesn't care if you're late, since he only takes attendance by the end of the session! Overall, very good pe coach, and I highly recommend him for a fun pe session.more

As somebody who doesn’t dance, his class is A-able with effort! I love how Sir understands that most of his students are beginners to dance in general, so the way he grades is very considerate and fair. I struggled a lot with learning in class because I thought our sessions were very fast-paced (we only met once a week kaya two hour session na kaagad) but just let him know you need more time to practice and he’ll give you enough time to learn everything on your own. Overall, super fun class and really good prof—take his class this semester! You won’t regret it 🙂more

Not sure about onsite, but I did take streetdance online in my freshie year (2021-2022). Sir's great! Really kind, helpful, and does his best to teach the moves to us. Super enjoyable course even if you're new or do not dance. Easy A as well, you just have to submit the outputs on time.more

Coach Carcellar is goated. I’m new to dancing got called I have 2 left feet before, but he’s really positive and upbeat. This motivated me to improve and give effort. honest review: if you like dance/is already skilled, def yes! but if you're not that experienced but you do love to dance or learn, then i'd say you just need to be willing to put in the work to actually practice outside class hours. it can get physically tiring, esp if you have an already heavy sem. personally i think he's pretty fast with teaching the steps too so if you're not so much of a fast learner, you might need to practice a bit more at home like me. on the good side, he grades high as long as there's effort. so just have fun with it!more

i'm taking him rn for streetdance AND YES PLS TAKE HIM AND HAVE FUN !!! he's the goat fr 🐐 as someone who's... getting there, but not quite — let's say — when it comes to dancing, he's pretty chill and his sessions are always fun! we only have dance assessments for the outputs in the class which is such a great time saver honestly (we didnt have to do a written exam for streetdance, not sure abt dance fundamentals tho but THANK GOD) anyways he's pretty nice and dont be shy to ask him if u need to catch up w some steps, he'll be glad to help u out! ^^more

sir was fun! i got him for fundamentals of dance. for that class we had dance quizzes (the types of steps), a group presentation, and a written exam. it's easy and fun and you get to work individually and in groups :)) for his other dance class, a friend said he's also fun and good as a teacher. would say he's fine! no need to worry about re-enlistingmore
