hello! I got a B+ (consistent w how he graded my papers) 🙂 I dont personally know anyone that got an A, and I think most people in our class got B or C. he’s kinda weird with grading in the sense na sometimes it feels like his some of his deductions are pointless 😅 very very high standards. anyhow I think a B+ is definitely doable if you study well for the quizzes, recite, and put max effort into the papers… just try to write what you think he’d want to hear/mirror what he said in class. good luck!more

He bumped my B+ to A after I asked

He didn't show me the number grade but he bumped it from B+ to A. He even told me that it was a "significant pull", which probably meant that it wasn't just rounded up.
Note that I reached out to him first! So if you could try negotiating with him too if you want a higher grade. He agreed with me because I was very participativemore

- really chill prof, class discussions are engaging and informative
- long but interesting readings
- workload for Intersession is a group paper every week. He doesn't ask for much so really it's pretty light

He may bump your grade if you engage in class
he kind-of does. if he sees you engage in class often/consistently then he may consider bumping you're grade up. (that's what he did for me)
