Group discussions every meeting, 3 exams, no quizzes

I had a good experience with maam and the class is somewhat fun with group discussions, which happens every meeting. Representatives from each group will express their thoughts about a certain topic from maam, but everyone can recite (maam notes down anyone who recites). It really helps to at least scan through the reading, get the main points, and integrate it with ur answer ! For module exams, expect a mix of multiple choice, identification, and an essay. Please review for this! All of it is related to the lectures naman and you can review the powerpoint, which maam posts on canvas. Hardest part is definitely the identification part. My advice is to highlight key terms while ur reading. She also doesn't give quizzes so prepare a lot for the (3) exams. Gadgets aren't allowed and she doesn't tolerate people who use their phone (she can tell even if ur discrete lol) Get good groupmates for presentations. She appreciates effort and creativity (check the rubrics). If you can, opt out of the usual PPT+script. Reply on discussion boards in Canvas. I think maam also curves as I didn't expect my final grade. B+ possible, A-able with a lot of effortmore

had her for SocSc 11! had a good experience in her class as i really liked her teaching style and the lectures always included some sort of discussion with your seatmates/groupmates which helped you really think about the lessons and it was very helpful in the context of the subject (understanding the self) in general. devices (kahit phones) are not allowed in class, and she is quite strict on this, so the best way to really learn from her is to take notes in class quiet impossible to get an A from her in my opinion as she is very specific especially when it comes to essay answers (the biggest part of our quizzes were essays). though i think she curves! recite, participate in class, and answer discussion boards in canvas to easily bring your grade up. she takes note of everytime you recite 🙂more

Everything revolves around the readings and ID terms
all the lessons will revolve around the readings, which will reflect on the exams. The exam is mostly like a "fill in the blank" where you give the term to a (paraphrased) textbook definition (mulcho, identification), tho some are situational, then an essay that will make you give and explain your own example. Basically everything in the course is about the readings! It's good to take note of what she says during lectures, but its mostly just her expounding on what you have read beforehand. Realistically, not everyone reads (guilty) due to other workload, so just listen a lot to what she says. She essentially gives the gist of it. Note down the terms she says then find it in ur pdfmore
