Very slow lectures; exams okay if you prep

Had him for PHYS 23.11, which is a lecture class. -Teaching style: The pacing of his lectures is veeeeeeeery slow, and he'll spend a lot of time explaining the concepts rather deeply. Nakakaantok ngl HAHAHAHA, medyo soft rin boses nya eh. He also expects the class to recite. Because of how slow the pacing is, he isn't able to cover all the topics per module in the onsite lectures, and he expects students to have read the canvas modules prior to the lectures. He also discusses sample problems that are quite a bit harder than what you'll see on the exams. -Assessments: For our class, we had 3 probsets, 3 long exams, and short quizzes. The probsets are by group, and are generally not too difficult; the exams are also okay, since it's 15 points for multiple choice and 10 points for problem-solving. He returns LT's pretty late, and you'll have to personally ask him for the probset grades (he won't release them on canvas) The quick quizzes (which are online) are there to check your comprehension per topic. I wouldn't worry about them too much, as each quick quiz is worth very little in terms of final grade. Overall, A-able with effort, but you'll have to self study a LOT to understand what's going on. Weekly group work, quizzes, and grades barely returned

took him 1st sem ’23-’24 for 23.11 n 23.12 TEACHING STYLE - sir has onsite once a week for 23.11 (so u have less cuts available - maybe 3 or 4 i dont really remember) - for 23.12, sometimes we start 30 minutes later if it’s a morning class - sir appreciates it if u speak up or recite during class or else he will force u to do so WORKLOAD - we have 2 quick quizzes every module (online 5pts - to be submitted via canvas) - we have group problem sets and lts (alternating per module). so for example, module 1’s major assessment is a group problem set. that means module 2’s major assessment will be an lt. - for 23.12, we get weekly submissions, meaning we have to submit something onsite or online once a week as a group GRADING - hasn’t returned anything at all except for 1 lt so i was kinda blindsided if i did well or not - a-able at the cost of not knowing what ur current standing in the class is - same thing for 23.12 except for this one, he hasn’t returned any feedback at all lol NOTES - sir doesn’t count lates but he counts cuts (for 23.11) - DON’T BE ABSENT. it’s so hassle to do the lab activities urselfmore

Structured Physics Lab, just attend every session

Had him for Physics Lab! Will say despite him speaking to the point that I need coffee just to wake up, he's very structured and follows the lab manual for each experiment as much as possible. Really not sure how he grades because he hasn't returned any of our lab activities at all. But overall, he's not the most entertaining prof but just attend the sessions and you'll be fine. I recommend you don't cut any of the sessions because you have to do the lab activities yourself to be able to catch up with your other groupmates and it's very hassle.more

had him last year onsite & tbh it wasn’t as bad as i expected HAHAHA the lectures are kinda boring at times & he has a lot of quizzes but all questions are straight off the ppts naman!! i stopped trying in his class halfway thru but still got a B so tbh he’s probably A-able HAHAHA super nice & considerate too!!more

Was his beadle for saturday 8 am phys lab, you need to be there within 30 minutes after 8 or else you'll have one cut attendance is considered participation and is graded but we don't really know how we are graded in that regards. hahahamore
