He’s a pretty chill prof since he’s on the younger side, has the vibe like he’s still in undergrad, yung tipong u can chika with him. Classes were always chill lang rin, it mostly consisted of lectures and having time to discuss w ur group abt ur final project.
Requirements wise, we had abt 3-4 quizzes, a midterm exam, 3 group case analyses, and a final group paper and presentation. Quizzes and the midterm exam were easy enough to study for and he provides accounting exercises and discusses/goes through them in class, so just listen in class and study his PPTs and ur goods. Case analyses are papers wherein ur group is assigned a startup and u answer questions abt them. Nothing too much to say abt that, standard stuff. There was also this thing where if the class can give him a complete doc of notes for the class at the end of the sem, the whole class gets bonus points, pero he just decided to give the bonus points anyway at the end so smth to note lang ig 🤣
For the final project, u and ur group (u can choose ur groupmates) essentially come up w a business idea and write a final paper abt it. One of the portions needed is listing what resources would u need and ur expenses, so that’s where actual accounting will come into the paper. This is a manageable final project since this is smth that’s worked on throughout the sem, so there’s usually time allotted during classes to discuss abt it and consult w sir. Advice lang is to be realistic w the numbers etc u use in the paper, so eg if ur profit is too high he’s gonna question if that’s rly achievable. Also this goes without saying since it’s accounting but make sure everything is balanced and accounted for, if something’s off sir is gonna spot it
Grading wise he seemed fair enough, didn’t feel like he had unfair standards or strict grading. Easy B+ to B, probably A-able
Overall saks lang yung class, definitely not a horror accounting class (since this was for SOSE students I think the accounting was on the easier side compared to other ACCT classes). Relatively chill and never smth I stressed overmore

Hello! This is a bit late but I had him for this intersession. His class is A-able considering its 95-100% but you have to do well in his midterms and quizzes.
In terms of teaching, Initially I didn’t expect him to be good considering his previous reviews here but idk if he changed but he is an excellent teacher. He was able to teach the lesson in a more casual way and was able to answer our clarifications regarding the lesson.
For the business proposal, he is really knowledgeable regarding business processes and such since he had an experience as a business advisor/processor thingy. All of his comments regarding the business proposal are insightful, we are able to ask him for help in the permits and such but he was able to guide us without spoonfeeding.
Interms of Cons
1. His class is prone to cheating, the quizzes are in gform which can be leaked to other class but please dont, youll destroy the curve.
2. His submissions are in gmail, so it can be hassle sometimes not utilizing canvas
Tips:
1. Study accounting statements early on the sem, recall it from FAA 101.10
2. Dont underestimate the first 2 modules
3. Please dont AI your casestudy, he appreciates outputs with originality.
4. Dont overthink your business idea.
5. Prepare well for midterms (he mentioned it is easier in the normal sem than intersession)
6. Enjoy the class, its really funmore

as a prof, i would say he was pretty “okay.” not a big fan of his teaching style but he is kind naman overall, if a little annoying and magulo. you can tell HE knows his stuff, but teaching it/imparting the knowledge to others effectively is another thing entirely 😬 can vouch for the creepiness too as per the other comment,, he really favoritism-picks his beadles/girls (our strongest soldiers 😭) and it seemed to me na his comments were a little too FC for comfort. i get na baka he’s trying to “connect” lang but idk. weird + out of touch, feeling pogi vibes. plus, sa simula ng sem madalas din siya mag-mood swing haha yikes. also, he talks to us at LENGTH abt unrelated topics pero when one of our guy classmates asked him something about the lesson sir was only like, “ah you can ask your classmates about that nalang.” like what ????? HAHA
grading wise he is ok naman and i think he curves accdng to the performance of the class. he doesn’t return grades for anything except for the one LT tho so it’s hard to assess what ur standing is as well.
i don’t think he is a bad person at all, but try to get another prof na lang. he’s ok naman if you don’t mind all these. FAA will be doable either way.more

so real. grading is weird and his teaching is so disorganized 😭 not to mention he was not understanding about the oil crisis and transport strike this semester (scheduled a midterm at night even though a bunch of student commuters try to lobby for another time because the midterm was from 6-9 PM and the lrt closes at a little past 9 PM).

One of the best profs in Ateneo. May come off as masungit, especially at the start of the sem, but I think it helps to set the tone for the rest of the semester. You’ll be pressured to practice. He’s strict and makes sure that you listen to him. Before going to the next module, he’ll make sure that everyone is caught up. Personally, I like his teaching style cause it’s very structured and will force you to pay attention and submit outputs. All you need to do is listen and practice.
I think most people only say that he’s bad cause some people fail his class or cause he’s not easy A (just like any other finance class).more

wag hahah I'm not even joking, I've never been so uncomfortable in class. Ang lakas ng favoritism niya to the "pretty girls" it was so strange. He'd ask questions in class pero para sa kanila lang. The overall teaching style was also not good. He does not give resources as much and submissions is through a wack email thread. Personally gives off the vibe that he dgaf especially during our final presentation and parang hindi siya nakinig. I don't know how he compares to other FAA profs so maybe it is better since his workload is not CRAZY.
