I took his class last semester and I have no regrets! He’s very chill and will move deadlines if you ask him nicely, but he’s also very sharp and knowledgeable in what he teaches. Ask him any question, even about very niche finance topics, and he’ll still somehow have an answer to it. Big nerd in the best way. His exams weren’t giveaways, but A-able with manageable effort. Even so, you can make up for your grades through his betting game activities and group projects in case you do poorly on the exams. Final word to the wary: there is no need to be! He’s a relatively new prof, but I expect him to become more popular as time goes on. If he were a stock, then he would be a buy. 😆more

Had him for finn 121 and a comp class. Hes super chill and knows/teaches his topics very well. As said in another review, he talks a lot about the practical sides of the topics, often connecting them to his experience in the field which keeps discussions interesting. Hes approachable, considerate with deadlines, and gives the class fun bonus activities (eg create the best performing portfolio) for students to get extra points for major tests. As for difficulty, it is manageable, definitely A-able. Overall, great prof get him if possible.more

Clear, practical, and approachable as a finance coach

He was my coach for a finance contest. He knows his stuff well and can explain concepts quite clearly. I would say he focuses more on practicality and real-world application rather than pure theory and textbook material. He's a very chill prof and really approachable. He likes helping students so don't be afraid to ask questions. Sometimes, he would even recommend educational finance movies/series for fun. I was never really under him for any class but from our conversations, he's also quite lenient with reqs.more

You will DEFINITELY learn a lot in his class. You can tell that He really knows what he is teaching. He is very nice and approachable, don't be afraid to ask questions. Workload is okay, I think it was light. Exams are multiple choice, but it was really hard hahaha. Take him if you really want to learn. I know he's new to the department. Go take him! one of the best prof I had.more

Sir Lester was also my coach in a finance competition, and I can honestly say he's super approachable. You can tell he’s deeply experienced in the field, and it shows in the way he breaks down complex concepts into digestible pieces. As mentioned in other reviews, he doesn’t just stick to theory, he usually connects lessons to real-world applications or his own experience, which really helps you understand things better.more
