Heavy lab, no returned papers, skip if you have options

Hi had doc lea for 122.02, gen chem 2 lab (inorganic). Workload was a bit heavy for us kasi chem majors so almost every lab may formal postlab, pero she didnt have any other tasks for us aside sa prelab quizzes and the lab itself. Yung prelab quiz nya haha she wings it (i assume) kasi magtatanong lang sya sa start ng class about one thing sa experiment tas pag di nasagot sasabihin nya "okay thats the first question for the quiz". We had an output based group finals (idt she's fond of written exams). If this will be your first chem lab class and youre going to be taking another chem lab class or any class under chem dep i suggest not taking her if you have any other option, simply because you will not be able to get feedback from her as she doesnt return papers, and she is really busy because she is an "in-charge" of the labs under chem depmore

hello!! had doc lea for 1st sem (sy '23-'24) and i loved my experience with her :> she was quite hands-on during our experiments, always roaming around to check on everyone and you could always approach her if you were unsure about how to do things; quite chill but still knowledgeable about what she teaches! for assessments, she doesn't return most prelabs and postlabs on time </3 but she grades pretty high! she also gave prelab quizzes that were quite tricky so we didn't do so well in these (she didn't return these quizzes also but she explained the questions right after we submitted the quizzes so we know the answers) HAHAHAHA but she cancelled our lab final so that our grades wouldn't be pulled down so much heheh would recommend!! 🫶🫶more

Hi! I had Doc Lea before for one of my elective classes in MSE, but not for Chem 21.12. In terms of the workload, it’s pretty chill lang. She gave us like five major outputs that we need to submit before the sem ends. She is very generous in extending the deadline and in grading the outputs. Based from experience, she also accepts late submission without any deductions🥹🫶 Overall, I would recommend her.🫶more

Had her for CH 12. She was all right for me but the biggest thing that ticked me off was that we barely had any idea how our grades were until the end of the semester where she shows the final grade. Follow her directions to the dot and it helps to self-study sometimes. Overall rating: 6/10 But then again, that was for CH 12. Good luck!more

She's very considerate but sometimes get irritated when you ask something regarding the procedure. She assumes that you fully understand the whole flow before the experiment itself. She returns the post-labs late because she is busy on her research. Overall, she's a great prof and trains you well to be independent in the lab :Dmore
