copy-pasting a previous reviewI'd say Ms. Manapat is a solid choice for 11.04 - maybe not an *easy* A, but A with light to moderate effort.Quizzes (25%) - Four online quizzes, 10 points each, mostly true or false, with a little multiple-choice. The questions are all objective, and based on the readings. The catch is that you have to answer the quizzes before the discussion, so you have to self-study the material. The questions themselves are fairly okay though.Recitation (15%) - Possibly the easiest component to get an A in, you just have to recite at least six times in the class. She gives lots of chances for recitation, and she gives points even if your answer is not fully correct.Creative Synthesis (25%) - For our class, we had to make a video synthesizing one of the modules, plus our personal reflections and applications. I'd say she grades fairly high here, so you don't have to worry so long as you follow her instructions.Finals (35%) - Oral exam with 3 thesis statements (but each thesis statement is long, with 3-4 sentences). You go in groups and you each explain one part of the thesis statement, but you're graded individually. You have 12 minutes in total, so you'll speak for around 3 to 4 minutes depending on how many people there are in the group. It's doable so long as you have enough time to prepare beforehand.I'd say the philosophies Ma'am teaches (Heidegger's concept of Being and Nothing, and Daoism) are pretty difficult to understand at the start; but if you can get past that initial hurdle, her requirements are fairly light. LOVELY PROF !! i learned a lot from her class. she gives 4 readings, Heidegger being the hardest. she usually makes us read them before taking a quiz and then she discusses them. ull then have to make a creative output out of one of the four readings. ull also have orals, but make sure to review on most of them cuz ur topic will be random. not too taxing nmn and it's easier if u internalise what u read. she also appreciates recitation which can maximise ur grade. i wouldn't worry too much abt her grading if u do everything with the best of ur abilities. her class was more of a process in reflecting who u are and i think that's what matters !!more

Manapat easier A in English, slots gone in 30 secs
Haven’t taken either, although I believe Manapat is a much easier A and is in English (Pasco is either English or Filipino), but the downside is nauubos slots niya in <30 secs, so if you have multiple things to enlist for, it might not be realistic.more

Ma'am Manapat is pretty great! The first few readings are pretty hard to grasp, but I'd say she's pretty good at explaining. She's very passionate about her subject and doesn't give a lot of assessments. Very much A-able with moderate effort!more
