Had him for Philo 12! Overall he’s an okay professor, A to B-able, for A you’d have to distinguish yourself to him para makilala ka niya (ie recite alot, consult alot, etc.)
Workload: Very light, I had him for a heavy sem and tbh I do not even think I took a lot of notes in his class. More on groupworks kasi siya like presentations, discussions, etc. So be sure to get good groupmates, however may mga individual tasks din siya like he’ll give you a prompt tas sasagot ka on a 1 whole paper and you’ll submit it either end of class or in his pigeonhole lang
Grading: He grades from 1-4 if I remember correctly, with 4 being the highest, his grading ranges from around 2.75 to 4. The average is mga 3.25 or 3.5, I don’t think he gives any lower than B as a final (unless siguro hindi mo talaga nakuha gusto nya or hindi ka nageffort (?))
Tips: As someone who got an A, recite alot, take notes (kahit snippets lang and reference these snippets that he said verbatim in your papers), consult as well (pero don’t consult too much, for me I just consulted 1-2 times lang once I got my grade for major reqs, ie ask him what you can improve on, what he’s looking for, etc. It also helps when during the consultation you make a hypothesis on where you lacked and ask him if yun ba yung pagkukulang mo)
Overall: I would take him again, though idk if ako lang yun pero I can barely remember the lessons 😭😭😭, he’s a kind professor and he grades high, minsan lang nakakaantok sa klase niya.more

Got scared from the past reviews when I blind enlist to his class but my experience was good nmn.
Requirements:
-2 Major Assessments which are essays (take home sya)
-1 final Synthesis paper and you have to create a short video about it.
- group discussion activities that will serve as a bonus points to pull your grade up. (Get good groupmates)
Teaching style:
-Sir Miroy is chill and teaches in Filipino but allows us to write in English.
-In my experience para siyang life coach magturo and trying to help you to find your “calling” HAHAHA.
-I advise you to take note of what he’s teaching because it will be helpful when you write your major assessments.
Grading:
-I feel like may specific na bagay na hinahanap si sir miroy pag nakuha mo yun you will get a really high grade. My style was to reiterate what he teaches and add my reflection to it.
-Overall: B+/A able with slight effort!!
Tldr: I recommend sir Miroy if you have a heavy sem/want to focus on other subjectsmore

hello i took sir last sem! he was pretty chill ngl but like for me he lacks engagement lang with the class >: it gets really boring kasi he doesn't have any visual aid (not even a ppt) he just talks the entire period and if may groupwork naman he talks for 30 mins tas meeting na w ur group for another 30 so minsan he dismisses us early
ayun nga he doesnt like ppts when presenting so puro salita talaga kayo HAHAHA the requirements were p chill also iirc our final requirement was a video of us encapsulating the topics, bale thats the orals part na for philo HAHAHA
also he's kinda strict abt showing up to class HAHAH so pls show up even if it gets boring!!more

Hi! Took him last sem. Not as bad as the old reviews say imo. Get him if you're really good at writing! Class is tagged in Filipino but you can submit everything in English
