hello! I got maam kaye moendeg for BIO 140.01 - cell mol bio Teaching Style -first off, Maam Kaye is REALLY smart and she teaches so well so you're gonna be in good hands -Her discussions are based on a textbook but she does not require her students to read it -She sends the PPT through a GDrive folder -Lessons are mostly discussing the contents of her PPT, which has minimal texts and are mostly pictures (this depends on the lesson tho, since sometimes her ppts get a bit wordy) -She grades recitations during her discussions, but for our class there weren't a lot of opportunities to recite. To give us recit points, she asked us to ask questions to presenters during the journal paper presentation (these were our only recitation points so if this happens again, make sure to recite) -she mentions details THAT ARENT IN THE PPT. make sure to write notes of information she mentions -she's not really the type of prof who has a very energetic aura during discussions but she also isn't the type you'd fall asleep on Assessments -Quizzes are timed and based solely on the PPT. iirc one minute or 1.5 mins. per question. -Exams are also based only on the PPT. Majority of items are multiple choice, with most questions testing your recall and analysis skills. There's also an enumeration and indentification section (iirc these were two points per item). Final section of her exam is an essay portion about the journal article discussed -There were two journal articles discussed for our class (they were her own published papers and were very easy reads). Make sure to read these adequately and make sure you know the rationale of the paper and of the most important methods because her essay questions are about those. Certain details from the articles will also show up in the enumeration/identification section -we only had one quiz during the entire time we were under her (she became our prof after midterms and she discussed 3 modules), so review well on the quizzes since she doesnt give a lot of them (this might've been due to time constraints if im not mistaken) Overall, definitely A-able with effort and an absolute 🐐🐐🐐🐐more

Hello, my friend pmed me abt this prof, I’ll leave it here for future references ☺️ “Hi praise haha so about ma'am nakuha ko siya for BI 5 and BI 6 she's very nice and approachable! Kapag hindi mo gets ung lesson you can ask her during class or after class and tutulungan ka talaga niya. Don't abuse her kindness though 🙂 recite to have bonus points mataas mag grade pure memorization sa ppt sometimes mayroon additional info sa lectures na nakalagay sa test so listen carefully. Multiple choice tests modified true or false, matching type and essay sa dulo about procedures etc. She may look intimidating at first pero mabait tlga siya haha and memorize her full name kasi may bonus points noong first test namin as i remember haha Highly recommend 🙂 good luck if kukunin mo siya haha”more
