It's not very difficult as long as you get the gist of each reading. Also, familiarize yourself with the techniques she teaches in class and read the instructions properly. All in all, it's doable.more

Rañeses! He goes outside of the realm of theory and introduces you to the practical side of things! He discusses very clearly and encourages you to think critically. He's not afraid to talk about unpopular opinions and has an interesting approach to politics. :)more

Amazing prof, gives an adequate amount of readings before the discussion. When she was my prof it was around 20-40 page readings lang ata per lesson. She's very comprehensive with her lessons, and she's very forgiving when it comes to submissions and exams. Embarrased to say that I got an A pre-final grade without reading anything because I was a terrible student before HAHAHmore

Omg I love Dr. Abao :(( I had her for two different classes though but for the most part her teaching style is super straightforward so just do your best! Read the readings, study your reports well, listen during the lectures, she'll appreciate if you took that knowledge and tried to apply them in a more practical and modern context. Her lessons are always incisive, with some humor, and she's the kindest :(( Let her kindness motivate you to be a diligent student and you'll do great!!more

her teaching style is pretty simple like as long as alam mo sinasabe mo and nakikinig ka sa lectures ni maam ure good ❤️ orals nya are also super breathable like sa simula ka lang kakabahan pero when youre actually there, parang tatanggalin ni maam pagkatense mo 🥺 she also integrates current situations sa topics niyo, so personally maganda talaga kasi legit na natuto ako from her + quizzes are just to check if u read her readings hehehe tapos pag naglelecture si maam speed magnext slide so dapat youre quick on your feetmore

Kind of late but I took him just this intersession. If this is the Sound Art Installation class (sorry di ko maalala class code), then he's a really great prof! The class is pretty technical because you have to learn how to use different apps and online tools such as Reaper (a DAW) but it's also a creative class so not super focused lang on the technical aspects. His assessments are spaced well so I didn't feel overwhelmed with the requirements. Choose good groupmates as well because most (if not all) of the major assessments are done as a group. Try to do all the bonus stuff, I think that really counts! I would say B+/A-able, and sir is really kind. I feel like this class would also be more fun during a regular semester, so have fun! 10/10 for Sir Amante :))more

Doc ivan is great!! Very understanding and quite chill. The subject really is just kinda hard to go through cuz of the info overload, but he does his best to maximize time and summarize important points about human biology.more

Anonymous member altho I had stem bg (mostly on the math side), I am majoring in IS with no stem-related tracks. Personally, I'd suggest you take bio if you are inclined to learn more about the human body and are curious about how your body (mal)functions. Additionally, if you're either not too keen on memorizing or pattern recognition, hum bio wouldn't be the absolute best since those will be your best friends in learning anything about med.more

This is solely from what I heard and of course, we all have different experiences. So from what I heard is that envisci is actually difficult from what people expected. I think mas nuanced kasi siya from your typical bio, chem, and physics sciences. BUT AGAIN, this is just from what I heard. Good luck and welcome to ADMU!more

personality: - very kind - lola na nagbibigay ng pera nang palihim vibes - mahinhin boses (so consider this when picking your seat in class) - understanding and patient in answering questions activities: - we had two quizzes i think, 1 objective and 1 essay, which are all relatively easy (except madami ka lang ire-review na readings) - reportings per group - one final paper class: - chill class, you won't feel na it's a major class - you're expected to read the readings beforehand, so you can participate during discussions - she knows her way around the lessons, and she would really make you to think critically abt them because she wants you to think about other perspectives - she always relate the lessons to current events and would ask the class whether they agree or not - overall, her classes are fun if the class is also engaging with her during discussions (what happened in our class kase was everyone wasn't paying attention, so it came off as boring, but as someone who was listening, doc abao's class was rlly good) grading: - you get what you deserve since hindi naman siya madamot - she gives As, but i wouldn't say na easy A since that kind of disrespects doc's class (i.e., petiks petiks lang mga kaklase ko kase they read na "Easy A" raw si doc, so i felt bad that only a handful were actually listening) so please please please, participate in doc's class because you can really learn A LOT from her, and she would always encourage us to think about current events in order to make better decisions as humansmore

Readings: generally manageable because it's usually divided according to political philosopher / theory Lectures: Lectures are comprehensive enough to cover everything on the readings assigned. Reading in advance just gives you more room to recite! Quizzes: Objective + also manageable because it's spread throughout the semester (roughly 10 pts per quiz) Orals: As long as you listened to the lectures, participated at a minimum, orals are pretty easy. Ma'am isn't intimidating so the whole process is more conversational hehe She also provides a pre-final grade which helps before orals! Overall, she's very understanding and lenient with submissions ♥️more

hi!! i super recommend the class if you're looking for something interesting or new to learn but i also would not recommend if you want an easy subject as you have to learn a new program (reaper). sir is so fun and interactive to listen to! i never thought i would enjoy the class but sir is v kind and informative on the topic. he's one of my favorite profs ever in admu 🤍 so the class is all about sound and how to produce and use it. so topics range from different mics and how it picks up sounds, types of sounds, to using reaper (the program for the class). there's not a lot of reading but more videos on canvas about the topics, it does get technical tho sometimes! but sir also has games on guessing sounds and listening sessions during class times! i had this class in intersession but i remember it was two quizzes, three sound groupworks, and one sound assignment (?). sir is always open to give feedback and comments on the assessments. he's b+/a-able with effort! 🤍🤍more

Hello! Super late, but I'll share a different perspective since I took the class in the first sem What Helena said about Sir Amante is correct, he is very approachable, kind, fun, and informative (since he is an audio engineer). I will also agree on the fact that the class can get technical because of the new software esp if you're not familiar with DAWs used in sound production. However, if you are taking it in a semestral pace, I believe you can learn the basics before the major outputs (some YouTube tutorials pati yung mga supplementary material na binibigay ni sir is guds na) Workload was bigger since semestral yung setup namin: - at most it was 2 quizzes - individual recording assignments - Sound Blueprint Project (group) - Sound Manipulation Project (group) - Sound Recording Project (group) Semestral set up, so medyo may leeway kami with time and due dates. B+/A-able with effort! Tip: try to find something interesting to share sound-wise kasi it will help you in class participation and if sir still does it, he has this leaderboard thing that will bump up your grade if you placed in that leaderboard :3more

[Sound art] I took sound art just this (ay 23-24) intersession. Given that sound art is an interdisciplinary elective, no coding is involved if that is your main concern. For intersession sched, we met 3x a week on campus and once a week for synch. He discusses the lectures well and we have a canvas quiz after each module. The lectures are a bit technical (think of it as a STS or ArtAp level of technical), it isn't hard but you'd have to listen to his lectures. He also plays YT vids to supplement the class discussions. He also made us record sound from our environment (city and nature (nature being in campus)) and share them in class. The final project was done by group (can't really expound much on this since I took the class for my graduate degree and our final project was a bit more challenging) it was fun though. The class was very light and fun. The reqs are also not that heavy. Find yourself good groupmates though and just enjoy the class.more

Afaik it’s his first time teaching this course, but I had him for ITMGT 20 and 20.54. 💯 Highly recommend because he takes his time to teach step by step, especially for those with no prior knowledge of formulas, functions, or automation. It's clear he loves teaching and is passionate about the subject. He’s also a part time lecturer who travels back and forth from SG to PH. He covers his expenses, so you’ll know how dedicated he is to teaching. Req-wise: not heavy and most of the challenging tasks were assigned onsite, but he lowk helps during those assessments. He also grades fairly, so if it’s halata na low to walang effort yung gawa mo, he won’t be afraid to give you a low score. But, he’s not madamot with grading din, so as long as you put in the effort and thought, he will grade you high. Bonus: If you need advice career-wise (or if you want to start), Sir will happily accommodate you. Overall, easy B+, A-able with slight effort.more

not for the exact same subject, but currently taking him for ITMGT 20.54 and would highly recommend to take him! love his classes even though they're at night, and would give food during class HAHA in terms of requirements, he's super reasonable and grades reasonably as well, according to the effort you put in. he makes classes engaging and fun, so mostly they aren't pure lecture classes (a lot of activities in between). definitely not an easy A, but you'll learn a lot from the class! easy B/B+, A-able with effort!more
