I’m gonna be as objective as possible while writing this because I’ve taken her several times over the years.
- She’s really a brilliant woman, definitely, one of the most knowledgeable about genetics in the faculty if not in the Philippines. So she knows her stuff and can answer any question you have about genetics.
- Her exams were do-able. I studied hard and aced her exams. They’re not too difficult to ace but you will definitely fail if you try to cram all the topics overnight. Sometimes you’ll find the answers to the questions on other parts of her exams lol. Oh also one time we were taking the exam and she kept saying the answers out loud accidentally.
-She’s a bit impatient, though I’ve heard she used to be way stricter and used to have a shorter fuse. She gets mad at the class if a lot of people are talking, aren’t reciting, or have cut. That’s another thing, DONT CUT AND LIE. Someone once cut midway through her lec and came back during lab and lied to her and she yelled at him.
-Her material is difficult to study because it’s so dense. So I highly recommend studying the textbook because she gets her material from there.
-As was mentioned previously, it can be kind of messy. We jump from one topic to another but the flow won’t make sense. But if you keep up with her and the textbook you’ll be fine.
-She’s one of the older faculty members so her style of teaching can feel outdated? Esp for the younger batches. But I can say that she cares a lot about your learning. Like I consulted her all the time and she was just pleased to know we cared to learn.

super agree. Personally, despite her being frank and strict, I still appreciate her so much esp when she explains her discussion in the most simplest way that she can (with illustrations pa). She also doesn't assume that her students know it all. She always starts at the foundations of topics to make sure that her students understand the entirety of the lesson. Nagpapasagot rin siya before class but very chill recit, just scan your notes before going to class, you'll be fine. A-B+ able with enough effort. 🫡more

as for reqs, we had dbs, probsets, quizzes, lts. all objective. for dbs and probsets, doable in a couple hours, google-able, more or less nasa book lahat. for quizzes and lts, mahilig siya magbigay ng short essays, kahit 1 sentence basta kumpleto, full points na.

will crush ur mental health (literally did not want to attend classes bc of her), she will not hesitate to humiliate u in front of everyone
- not open to corrections, will get mad at you if u have a question or if u want some clarifications, she’ll never admit that she made a mistake
- not open to schedule changes or conflicts as well
- teaches so slow, sometimes just reads off her ppt, tapos if di nya matapos shell still include it sa coverage ng LT and we’ll have to study it on our own wo her discussing it at all tlaga
- ppts are so messy, it takes up time pa to organize on our own wc could be used for studying na sana
- lts and quizzes based on her ppt lang tlaga like exactly the same words so if u memorize it all ure good (but i hate that method, didnt work well for me)
- worst teacher ko so far, should have loadreved nung meron pa akong chance (i suggest u should too, shes not worth it)
