Explains so well he made me pass 30.14

I'm jus gonna copypaste a message I sent to someone when I took his class for 30.14! "For me, he was my best option though I didn't choose him myself (I gambled during enlistment because all 30.14 profs were TBA) so I just got really lucky honestly. For me also, he's definitely what made me pass 30.14. It's just that he explains everything so well and he doesn't mind if you ask questions kahit kakaexplain lang. To be honest, I didn't put as much effort but that's because I was able to understand his teachings talaga and he gives examples and sample tests for the tests/quizzes. Plus, he even gave an assignment which was strongly discouraged in the math department btw which helped pull up my grade. And this is coming from someone who's SO BAD at calculus. Just make sure to approach him in the first few days of the semester and talk about how you failed and stuff because that definitely helped. Don't be afraid! He's very nice naman 😊"more

He’s the best! You’re in great hands. For me, he’s an easy A prof even with minimal review lang (as long as u listen to his discussions). I was his class beadle last 2nd sem and he was very responsive and lenient. He was also very kind in and out of the classroom. His classes were never boring kahit 8:00 am pa yan. Hindi siya nakakaantok magturo. He gives practice long tests and quizzes and those are pretty much almost the same as the actual long tests/quizzes so really have time to understand it pag ni-ddiscuss niya yun sa class (yes he discusses the practice tests in class a day before the actual exam). If u want notes, i have handwritten notes to offer! I loved taking notes sa class niya so just pm me.more

Winfer Tabares the goat. had him for MATH 30.13 and 30.14 five semesters ago lol. he'd usually give a sample LT and most of the items there appear sa mismong long test (like literal na babaguhin niya lang yung given but the structure of the questions were mostly the same lol). Hindi ko lang alam ngayon haha. Con lang is hindi siya masyado interactive sa class beyond sa kung ano yung tinuturo niya perooo in terms of teaching, wala naman ako masasabi HAHAHA. Considerate and mataas din siya mag partial points soo yeah go get him if u have the opportunity hehemore

Tabares fs!! I 100% recommend sir, he is the GOAT. He teaches very well and his pacing is just perfect; not too slow and not too fast. His assessments are also not very difficult but not the type that would make you "incompetent". There is this notion that when a prof is kind, there's a tendency you barely learn from them. But sir is literally the BEST MIX OF BOTH WORLDS. He's kind AND you will def LEARN in his lectures. Self-studying right after would not be challenging. TL;DR: TAKE TABARESSSSS IF U CAN !!!more

Iirc, Sir Tabares also lets us use cheatsheets for some of the quizzes. I remember one time he allowed us to write all the convergence/divergence tests onto an A4. This might not apply to all his quizzes but it's almost as good as his (hypothetical??) +10 ^^^more

Tabares! Had him last sem and he’s very organized when teaching so students are able to understand it super well. He also prepares you for his quizzes so everyone is guaranteed to get a high score. Easy A and the best math prof evermore

Had them both for different subjects, but prefer Tabares! He's very organized and teaches well, but chill at the same time. Generous also with grading! He was lenient with partial points and even gave us bonus points one time Dayao is also good imo but a downside with him is that he doesn't prepare you well for departmentals since his lts are (too) easymore

I had him for a different class pre-pandemic, but he’s one of the nicest profs I’ve had. He explains lessons well and is very approachable. I also really appreciated how on one day of class, he decided not to start the lesson right away so we could have an open discussion about an issue that was going on in the school at the time. To me, this showed that he cared about more than just educating us in mathematics and also cared about setting his students on the right path in life, embodying the holistic education Ateneo gives emphasis to.more
