tl;dr light workload, recommended prof for a heavy sem! hii took her last sem!! agree with the others on her being very soft-spoken (as in nakaupo na ako sa first row and medj mahirap pa rin siya marinig at times 😭😭), and she could get monotonous at times pero style lang talaga niya yon (i think). she also incorporates a lot of what she does as an anthropologist in the discussions and consultations we had! may time na pinapunta niya kami sa blue nest for consultations then she ended up explaining what she's currently working on while showing the extracted bones and other artifacts she had for it (super cool) very light requirements too ++ she is very open to moving the deadlines! the DBs are not hard to answer naman, but she wants your entry to be as unique and memorable as possible <3 the rest of the requirements were all groupworks such as presentations every meeting (that she gives 30 mins for you to prepare given the prompts), the infographic and the final paper based on it, kaya magandang okay ka sa grpmates mo moving forward since they are gonna be your grpmates for the whole sem despite this, i personally wish i could've gotten more from the subj bc i feel like we never dived deep into the topics we had compared to other profs that i know of (but then, i feel like personal problem na yung wala ako masyadong na-retain from the subj), but she is a nice prof to have esp if you have a heavy sem ahead 💗 super A-able!!more

Passionate but soft-spoken, sit in front, very light reqs

Had her during first sem last sy! Just like what the others said, she's very soft-spoken, and in my class's case, she brought a microphone pero medyo mahina pa rin boses niya so it might be better to sit in front to hear her. Despite this, she is very passionate about what she teaches, and eager to share her expertise in anthropology, archeology, and forensics (she even brought some artifacts she collected for us to see during her expeditions!). Since she usually had fieldworks, there were some instances where we had async sessions for almost two weeks. The requirements for this course was very light. It consisted of 4 discussion boards (with short word count lang), group reflection essay, and an infographic. There were also on-the-spot group reporting but it was very short and chill. In the discussion boards, I suggest to answer the guide questions succinctly and use reliable information. Make sure to also find good groupmates since you'll be working with them for the majority of the coursework. Also, Ma'am is considerate in addressing concerns and pushing deadlines but please don't take advantage of her kindness! 😅 (P.S. She also checks attendance through signup sheets) Overall, I'd say her class is an easy B+, and A if you have goated groupmates. I highly recommend Ma'am Uldin if you want a chill class, and I honestly would take her class again!more

Nice and passionate, but language barrier and soft voice make class ???

not a terror prof but definitely one of those professors that keep you in a constant state of “???” during class. she’s really nice (considerate about deadlines c/o coordinating with the beadle) and passionate about what she teaches but there’s an obvious language barrier because she’s a foreigner. she also has a very soft voice which can really get in the way of learning, especially if your assigned classroom is in berch like my class. it was difficult to absorb our lectures because of these things. most of our output was just presentations and an infographic at the end. PLEASE get good group mates for this class, especially if you’re not with your block. i had a terrible experience with my group mates but ms. tanya was able to accommodate my concerns in the end. overall, i wouldn’t recommend her. but if you’re left with no choice, just find ways to work around the language barrier and get good group mates you can trust. :)more
