At the start of the sem until the midterms(?), she gives out 4-5 grammar tests to practice the class in writing the research paper. She also requires the class to do talumpati/speech in front of the class. There are group presentations like reporting and performing. LTs are announced, but there are some pop quizzes from time to time. The only hassle thing is the research paper at the end, as she requires a lot of things other than the paper itself. But in total, a kind and fun prof to get. 9/10more

Had her for Fil 11 so idk about Fil 12... but she knows her stuff and you can ask her for help. Her exams are tricky and meticulous but that forces you to step up your game in reviewing, I guess. But, you have stuff to review since her discussions are pretty lively and she has lots of stories to tell :)more

^^ She's really approachable during class and consultations (we had a number of them with her and she's really fine with that), and sometimes already gives exactly what she wants to see in the paper. I don't know how it goes in Fil 12 but her tests were mostly detail-oriented; remember to take notes during discussions. She also forces you to be open-minded about ideas and interpretations while entertaining you with her stories, which sometimes take much time during class discussions. 😅more

I had her for Fil 11 Honors last sem. Her discussions are fun, she'll always find a way to insert an interesting story. Her tests are mostly objective and she gives many chances for bonus points. Unfortunately, I am a sad excuse of an honor student hahaha so I won't be honors anymore. Just don't be like me, don't be petiks and read your readings. Also memorize the author and titles, she includes them in the testsmore

I was also her student last sem sa Fil honors. Really smart prof and really patient sa class. As her super ingay na beadle, never pa siya nagsprak or nagalit sa class puro slight na paninita lang. Very objective. Gives surprise quizzes so READ YOUR NOTES. She also includes in her quizzes very specific words na wala sa ppts so be sure to take note of them. Do not expect to understand the lesson right away. To be honest, nahirapan ako sa explanations niya; di masyado nagstick sakin kasi she tends to drift away from the topic sa dami ng interesting kwentos. In the end, LISTEN CAREFULLY TO WHAT SHE TEACHES :)more

Had her fpr Fil 12. All I can say is that memorize the book and all that she says. Lahat yun magaappear sa LT. The final requirement is super tedious so get some hardworking people. Mataas standards nya so better reach for it. Pero besides all those, super dun ng class nya. Never a dull moment.more

I had her for Fil 12 years ago. Take her! She gives many fun activities in class and you'll definitely learn a lot from her classes :)

Mam Ulit is nice, she does like to give a lot of groupwork though. All in all an Ok prof and if you're fluent in Filipino I think she's a good choice.

i didnt pass a single quiz or long test (and there were a lot mind you) but i was still able to pass her class. If youre struggling with Filipino like i do, shes a godsend in fixing your drama. Learned so much about filipino grammar in the first quarter of her class than i did in my entire high schoolmore

Ok naman. Do your best lang sa grammar quizzes ni ma'am, kasi dun maraming nakaka C/C+ madalas, but still got B+ as my final grade. For the final paper, just pick a topic you're interested in and easy but unique enough.more

she's the best, she explains readings very well and she's also very kind. there are quizzes every after discussion so make sure you listen and take notes. im also not that good at Filipino but still was able to understand and survive in her classmore

She's not terror actually. She's like your typical HS teacher; and in fact, she tells jokes and plenty of stories. In terms of workload, if you're not hardworking (or if you're going to be the leader in the group activities/project), then it's not going to be a chill sem for you. Long tests are sometimes tricky but manageable! You'll just have to study hard. Everything that shows up in her exams are always in her readings, notes and Ppts! :) she curves too! Her class average is definitely B+/Bmore
