hello! I got Arielle for ArtAp10, AY 2024-2025, Second Semester. And here is my review: Personality: • Arielle is nice naman, and her personality is quite unique!! Shes also pretty relatable, she seems to like music and literature a lot. Pros: • She makes our lectures engaging through interacting with her students!! She also asks opinions about the readings, and the lectures. I like her insights, and I agreed w her points :)) • Her course is quite light! A few discussion boards (one for us lang tho), a paper, round-table discussions (cancelled for us), a zine, and a final art project. • During our finals, she gave us very simple questions!! • Shes not really strict w attendance! She doesn’t count late as a 0.5 cut. And if you were sick due to valid reasons, you can email her w proof, and she’ll waive ur cut naman! • She gives feedback well! Actually, when we did our first requirement, na-touch ako sa comment nya HDHSHAH, pero im not sure tho if everyone got a feedback • She allows us to eat snacks during her class • I’d say she’s considerate with deadlines naman!! Cons: • She was absent a lot during this sem 😭 huhuhu sayang tho kasi i rlly liked the subject a lot + her lectures were rlly great • She announces class cancellations quite late 😭 earliest will be the night before our lecture, and the latest would be less than an hour before our class • She doesn’t post our grades in Canvas after the first requirement. I think here, you can ask her in-person if u have the chance to! Kasi sasabihin niya naman yun • Our canvas could have been better if she updated it (she only published until module 0 for us) Grading-wise: • Take note that she uses a 10-point scale to grade all the assessments we had • I think she grades quite fairly naman?? Just take note of the format, and citations since I think she deducts points for that. • I’d say ArtAp w her was easy B+, pero I’d say A-able if we had more sessions tgt 🥹 Overall: • Overall, she’s a good lecturer, I hope she’s gonna be present more this time!! hiii! so update on this, had her 2nd sem last year so i dont remember all the details but some things that might be helpful: - definitely A-able, shes super nice and gives comments on your work and grades them high bc she understands that not everyones an ✨artist✨ - i noticed she has a sort of preference/bias to works that have a personal meaning that u can pull from it - she gives a lot of readings and they weren't all accessible via canvas for some reason which made it hard to find (external gdrive compilation that i kept losing the link of personally) most of them are pretty long imo but if u attend the lecture, u can more or less get away with not reading them tho she does get disappointed minsan if absolutely no one reads - aside from readings, the workload is pretty manageable naman ((coming from taking art ap in a 25 unit sem)) and iirc theyre mostly art outputs + a v short paper/explanation on them - her lectures can get draggy but when it comes to presenting works and commenting on them its more interesting to we overtimed in those sessions or not everyone got to presentmore

hii !! I got her for ArtAp 10 !! [ay 2024-2025, 2nd sem] Personality-wise, she’s nice naman, and she makes her lectures engaging and relatable to us. She makes sure that everyone recites. Her lectures rin are very unique, and we enjoyed them naman. Our concern is she was frequently absent during the sem 😭 she will announce na bigla wala na lang kaming session that day TT. Course load naman, very light, and minimal. All we had to do were an essay, a zine, and a final project (by group). Pero they were trimmed to three na lang kasi lagi nacacancel artap namen 😭 Anyways, I’d say she grades high naman (mostly B+ to A). Most of my classmates got B+ from her. Plus when she feedbacks, its really good, that I find it meaningful. Pero idk why my classmates didn’t get their feedback on time (I was the beadle). Overall, I’d say could have a better artap experience 😭 sayang kasi i genuinely liked her lectures naman its js that her absences were a lot 😭😭 Best of luck, OP!more

jokes aside tho, i was her beadle during this recent intersession and here's what i have to say: - easy A prof, u could still get a perfect/very high score in an assignment even if your art skills are mediocre bc not everyone's an artist - requirements include an essay, zine, roundtable discussion, final artwork and final paper as well as discussion boards on canvas - ONLY two required readings; i mean we had many other readings but we were expected to read two (since we were pressed for time bc we only had one month for this course, i barely read them) - she speaks very clearly and u can easily understand what she's saying in the lecture - she makes sure everyone recites in class the only problem i had with her was that she gave deadlines after the official end of the intersession (but that was reasonable tho since our time was very short) in conclusion, A-able with or without effort, go get her!more

Madami readings like literal books yung need basahin. She's very open sa comments niya. Like read it. Essay-like yung comments niya sa assignments. Id say chill?? Coz she's lenient and kind. 3 Words : BEST PROF EVER She is extremely kind, patient, can make you nervous sometimes but that's just her joking around. Absolutely amazing, loved her and her class. She loves to make kwento and loves to listen to Fall Out Boy too. Did I already say she is great at teaching as well ? A light class and a kind and very very energetic teacher. If she is your teacher, God smiled upon you and you hit jackpot. A-able because I was able to get an A from her.more
