MY ULTIMATE FAVE PROF EVER OMG I WOULD TAKE HER AGAIN IF I COULD funny thing... her subj is after our chem so yes therapy session talaga sya she'll rlly take the time to help us calm down HAHAHAH here r some notes (my longest prof review yet but bear w me pls i lov her sm) - very manageable workload! we only had 4 quizzes, disc boards, and a final project na madali lang din! in our case she let us choose whether we wanna have finals or not - answer her discussion boards! dun lang sya humuhugot ng grades + her quizzes - ACE HER QUZZES. that was my mistake kaya i got a D sa advisory marks HAHAHAH 1 quiz is 10% of the grade. anyway madali lang naman, multiple choice lang sya (she always gives a super random bonus question) - her quiz questions r situational, so its best talaga to understand the lesson. she'll provide ppts naman before quizzes but u should listen to her discussions regardless kasi mas maggrasp mo yung topic. - recite in her class as well! dw di mahirap questions its more of a self reflection. i also think its an advantage pag kilala ka nya. i also appreciate how she took time to memorize our names talaga cause afaik she knows everyone in our class! - SUPER BAIT istg socsci will legit feel like therapy. she really knows her words well and di ka mabobore sa teaching method nya kasi ang interesting nya magturo?? - in terms of grading, def A-able. kala ko talaga B na highest ko bec i failed 1 quiz but mainly its bec binawi ko rin naman sya by exerting 101% effort sa following reqs HAHAHHA imagine from D sa adv marks nahila ko pa siya to A ure in v v good hands and ure so lucky to have her as socsci ENJOY — her onsite sessions / discussions feel like free therapy sessions — vv manageable workload! we only had online discussion boards, a quiz for each module, and a final project (life narrative through art). — make sure to participate in class + answer the discussion boards for extra points — vv considerate and understanding, just be honest and communicate your concerns (esp if you want an extension or want to reschedule a quiz) — take notes during her discussions, minsan yung examples sa class din yung lilitaw sa assessment hehe — when you're reciting / sharing in class, she really makes you feel like someone understands / listens to youmore

i took miss laya before shifting out of AB PSY, and all i can say is that she’s honestly a very friendly, chill and approachable prof. she makes the lectures very digestible and relates a lot of the concepts discussed in class to her line of work, some of her personal experiences, and to real-life scenarios, kayaaa class discussions can be rather engaging at times :)) her class is fortunately going to very much be a breather if you’ll be dealing with heavy classes. as for the requirements, i recall that we had some reaction papers, a group presentation, and 2 long tests. the first LT miss gave was rather challenging, so a lot of students didn’t get to score a B+/A (the top 2 highest scores around then was a B) however, after seeing the class mean, parang mas minadali nya talaga ang 2nd LT which does show how considerate miss laya can be. i would also like to point out that if you wish to score high in your reaction papers or improve on aspects of your learning, miss laya is easily reachable through email, and the feedback she gives is cohesive naman. overall, i can say she’s an easy B/B+, and certainly A-able too. i did end up getting an A from her but i think it’s mostly a product of exerting effort.more

Very good lecturer but some of the assessments are reasonably difficult. You will read a bunch of ML papers and implement the architectures, which is surprisingly less straightforward than it soundsmore
