Hellu got her for online also and agree with Ryan ! 🌟 PRESENTATIONS - every meeting was group presentations as in EVERY MEETING - ngl better than other profs i believe who tend to comment or even insult the anth presentations? maam was very chill she just wanted to know what struck us the most - presentation prompt for all was literally pick a quote or a segment from the whole reading and expound why you liked that segment so you can just get a snippet and bola from there HAHAHA - it helps when u add ur own insights and even put in contemporary issues cuz she complimented one of our presentations when we did it 🌟GROUP ESSAYS - just hit the objectives she wants from the class which you can get at the start of each module - myghod dont forget to put ur sources nahatak grade namin don 🤣 🌟LECTURES - barely did any, everything we had was online presentation but we tried to have an onsite class but it never happened - like what Ryan said, I didnt find it helpful alsow most impt, get good groupmates cuz everything is by group but i forgot if we did anything individual,, i personally cant find an individual essay in my files if we did so idk overall B-B+ able, A-able with effort, madaling sumipsip sa kanyamore

Hi! I think this is the first time she's teaching this class? (NOT SURE) Last year, DEV 189.8 was handled by MEDINA, Erron. I had her for a different subject, ANTH/SOCIO 168, and honestly, it was pretty boring and chill. Most of the work in that class came from us. There was group work or reporting for almost every module, and the sessions were mostly discussions about the readings she assigned. At the end of every module, we had to submit a reflection paper. She might change her teaching style for this class, but probably not. To be honest, I didn’t learn much from her class. She was kinda malabo when it came to giving instructions, and her comments on my work didn’t always make sense 🤣. I’d say she’s a B/B+ kind of professor hahaha. She even mentioned she can only give A’s to students smarter than her, lol. This subject, in itself, is both hard and interesting. DEV 189.8 is heavy on concepts and analysis about the politics of health. But it might be different this time because its a different professor.more

TOO TRUE :((( I sat front and center, literally right in front of her but I could barely make out what she says. She's passionate about the subject, but it sadly doesn't translate well in her teaching. Great reading selection tho. Great in both quality and quantity.more

Roque is very chill. Though she gives very tricky Long Tests, her lectures are very fun. :) You would also love doing social experiments. :) Easy B+ or A. :)

I took Roque!! Easy A, doesn't count cuts but if you never cut you get one grade higher (i got an A even though i cut most of the time), she makes everything really simple in SA tbh hahahaha, very nice, can be boring at times but sometimes her activities are really funmore

Roque. Super chill prof. No attendance. Relatively light load. Easy LTs tbh (multiple choice lang usually). You get an optional third LT if just wanna boost your grade up. Quizzes here and there. In our batch, one group report, one deviance experiment, and one group paper. Easy B+. B if petix. A-able with effort. ❤️more

Ma'am Roldan isn't super duper insightful, but she's very nice with tita/mom vibes :) Kinda has a soft voice tbh, but she has delightful and sweet stories of her family and her adventures as an anthropologist. Easy B. Not a lot of requirements outside of readings, LT and a few papers. :)more

Took Roldan for Intersession SA21. She isn't the most engaging lecturer and her voice is quite soft, so not her if you get bored easily. But she gets more interesting when she strays from discussing the readings and talks about her own experiences. She's like the motherly tita with so many interesting stories (because she's a legit anthropologist who'd gone field studies for a long time). standards aren't obnoxiously high and reciting a few times makes you memorable to her. Her requirements and exams were not too difficult.more
