ma’am lorraine gives heavy workload, though she may grade high naman. she gives a lecture review before exams which was very helpful for me because it was basically a gist for the topics that will show up in the test. downside is ma’am can be messy at times, and there were a lot of times she made us bring 40 specimens for an experiment. yes, 40 😭 experiment routines were kinda long and mostly used the whole hours i had sir marion for ecology lab, he can be challenging but he is reallly really kind and organized! his test types are more on application. he grades fairly, but if you consult him, and listen to his class, you will do good naman. not sure if this is sir’s first time teaching botany or not. love him for being organized and friendly. he’s also v hands-on and i can see his concern for his students both profs are very kind naman. their styles has its pros and cons, choose wisely nalang hehemore

hii!! there were sm lab worksheets to submit for this, esp for module 3 🥲 but shes a nice prof!! i would just say na her ppts are kinda vague and would require u to do further research if u wanna make notes. she usually used up the entire 4 hours of lab HSHDHHDHS, though sometimes she dismissed us early. she gives us opportunities for bonus points too (from post lab quizzes of each grp, activities, etc.) and in her moving exams there are some bonus stations. the moving exams are not so hard as long as u reviewed, just make sure to study the visuals like microscope slides and the actual specimens. sometimes hard to contact, as in replies late, but is lenient with moving deadlines. she also makes u do crafty projects throughout the course which i lowkey liked!! i would say A-able with effort but B+ able in general! good luck!more

Mam Lorraine gives REALLY heavy lab report work, so heavy that it took us three weeks to complete one. Tolerable, but time consuming. Her slides are also kinda vague so you really have to listen in class ++ depend on your lec class as well. But on the flip side, she’s very accommodating and lenient when it comes to deadlines, and her quizzes were online async for us. Her moving exams are pretty standard, she’ll usually give a reviewer covering everything you should study. She also gives multiple chances for bonus points throughout the sem to help pull your grade up. Don’t know how her intersession set up will be, but I assume very similar! She’s not a horrible prof, but I’d proceed with caution 😅more

sometimes it feels like he’s not teaching bc you have to learn through the activities talaga, but I’d say his class is on the easier side for sure. A-able with effort might’ve been a stretch sorry 😭 B+ with effort is more realisticmore

Had him for bio lab this semester, be very meticulous about your lab works because he really looks at every word and deducts points for being not specific enough. The hard thing is he doesn’t really give any rubric or any insights on how he will grade you on labs so goodluck! The quizzes and tests were manageable though expect questions on the long exams that will make you question whether he really taught you this or if he read it from his slides 😭. Imo he is an easy B, A-able with effort but you really need to know what he wants ^^more

Had him in bio lab for this sem and he's pretty good. Just make sure to always be on time with absolutely everything as he never allows late submissions. Quizzes and exams are pretty easy imo you dont really need to study for them if ur aiming for a B but put in a little bit more effort if ur aiming for an A. He's a great guy overall, pretty chill prof.more

i had him for bio lab this semester, he’s helpful and the lessons are pretty straightforward. if this is for lab you learn by doing the activities and following his instructions, but sometimes there isn’t enough of an explanation for those who aren’t familiar with bio so you might have to ask for extra help. the long tests are kaya and he’s A-able with effort.more

You have to rely on self-studying if you don’t know much about biology. I suggest you read up on campbell before every quiz. In terms of lab he’s ok, but again you really have to rely on yourself. I really want to be nice but tbh his teaching alone can’t help you 😕 if you don’t try hard enough you’ll land yourself in a C+ or B.more
