Regina Tan Raneses is a great lecturer, "unconventional", but has first hand experience in local politics as a consultant. His major requirement is a simulation of a municipal government. You will hold mock executive and legislative sessions where everyone has their own political motives and attempts to strong arm their way into achieving their goals. The rest of the class is mostly constitutional law, and you will discuss a lot of Supreme Court cases. In short, it's a very fun class. Super worth getting screamed at during recitations.more

Took her for a POLSC major and it was a big no for me.. We never had any Friday classes since didn’t like having Friday class. She can come to class late or cancel a few minutes before the class starts which can get annoying. She’s a bit sabog din sometimes like she’ll forget what topic we were talking about or where we left off last meeting, etc, one time she forgot that we had a quiz 😂 Reqs-wise, she’s p okay naman I got an A from her iirc just don’t expect to learn much + have lots of patience because she can be hard to deal withmore

^ easy A naman but she’s kinda meh. returns feedback p late & is very.. pacool? idk she tries very hard to be relatable which just comes off.. flat 😭 idk how to describe it but its my main takeaway from her class. she jokingly complains abt the 3 hr long classes & then complains na theres not much time left when she shows up 30 mins late 😃 compared to other socsc profs tho, her workload was p light and easy which was good as an overloaded senior take her if u want smn chill!more

agree!!! if you can though it might be best to take him during the regular sem and not during intersession, his requirements are pretty heavy. he enjoys whatever you have to say in class so recite a lot! his lectures also really help you understand the readings, and he drops a lot of dry jokes as well. also he is so awkward sometimes, it's v entertainingmore

She's a good prof and is rlly chill and funny. Shes passionate about the readings rin (make sure u read them when u attend class pero if not just cut jk). Theres 2 groupins, one for reading presentation and another for advocacy paper. It's really doable naman. She has a lot of async classes and i lowkey haven't seen her in a while since i used a lot of my cuts HAHAHAHAmore

Pace yourself. As per experience, it was hard to follow her class. We barely stuck to the schedule she announced. As much as you can, ace the preliminary assessments na, you'll never know if tuloy yung iba When you do consultations with her, make sure you have a draft output na and ready consultation flow or else you guys will circle around.more
