+ During our time with him, he's taking his phd so mej he had to really split his time between teaching and his doctorate kaya inconsistent yung teaching niya. There are days where you can really tell that he is prepared and there are days where he is not. Sometimes he can clearly explain things sometimes you really need to process what he said. Unfortunately for me, i didnt really like his teaching style since it really relied a lot on self-studying which Im not a fan of kaya I really leaned onto onsite lectures. The only good side I can think of abt this is you can really develop a new study habit dahil wala kang choice😅. There are also times na he would mention something onsite na wala sa ppt so be wary.
There will be times where his jokes are a little... Ermmm... For me okay siya since it's my humor pero idk for others.
As mentioned by some here, if grade conscious ka, run while you can🤩. All in all, he really knows his stuff well and he really cares about his students' performance.
Lastly, Canvas will be your best friend during your time with him so advance studying his modules in canvas really helps😇more

took him for CHEM 43.11 (survey of orgchem) last sem so cant say much on ur sub specifically but one of my fav profs (genuinely)! 🩷 medyo ma-moodswing minsan (wag nyo galitin 😭 but dw di sya terror hes usually chill and v relatable)
ang tip ko tho is mag extra readings ka online sa ibang sources if kaya or watch crashcourse sa youtube or something 😭 kasi HARDDD A, but C to B+-able (and ifl nagcurve na sya non huhu)... although if you didnt really get chemistry before, i think his teaching style will make you understand HAHAHA kasi he'll compare stuff w real life non-chem concepts that u already understand din
for workload he had us do a quiz roughly every week(?) iirc para lang din macheck kung ano naretain, and a lot of your work outside that was just over canvas

(2025 Update) Had sir for CHEM 43.11 last sem and overall an approachable teacher who made org chem more fun to learn. B+/C-able subject (A/B-able if u really know your org chem and willing to not sleep) as long as you listen in class, do his assessments (Problem Sets, Practice Quizzes, Mechanism App, etc.) and review his powerpoints. His midterms and finals are heavy on applying concepts to molecules and mechanisms so I highly suggest to focus on reviewing those kinds of questions before an exam. His end of module quizzes are take-home (which is a huge + on pulling up your grades) but they are very tricky so it’s really important to re-review his slides. Overall a legendary teacher, but the course is super hard so it’s going to take a lot of reviewing, practice, and prayers HAHAHA.more

contrary to popular belief, he’s actually a good teacher and his classes r fun too his exams r just tricky that’s y people don’t get high HAHA if u do ur part in learning, u will likely pass
however, if u want an B+-A, that’s a different story HAHAHAHAHAHAA i recommend getting a tutor or doing group studies w someone who is good at chemistry buttttt who knows maybe that person is u HAHA if ur naturally good at chem (at least better than avg), you’ll do greatmore

if this IS orgchem then the subject is hard enough:') unsure if anyone in our class got an A actually... highest ive heard of was B+. sir will definitely make it digestible bc he teaches well naman in fact isa sya sa naging fav kong prof last sem but the topics themselves are difficult talaga to digest:') good luck!!more

he’s smart and he knows how to dumb things down. chemistry is a hard subject in general, lalo na org chem but thanks to him, i really understand the fundamentals HAAHAHA plus, i had fun in his class and i don’t understand the terror prof allegations because he genuinely teaches well both chem lessons and life lessons. he genuinely cares about his students, i think. the subj is just rlly hard.
i definitely did not get high in his class LOL AHAHAHAHAH but that’s okay i am happy to have been a student under someone so passionate and driven.
if you’re looking to get an A, get a good tutor or be a chemistry god.😅more

He's an approachable prof that provides lots of practice/review materials, but the course itself is difficult so in Kris' words, wag kang umasa kung grade conscious ka 😭 Unfortunately during the time I took him, he was gone for 3 modules (for valid reasons naman) and that soured my experience in his class. However, I can guarantee you that he will do his best to make the course easier for you but you'll need to go above and beyond with studying. Always try using every applicable concept when answering his test questions (especially in the later modules) and answer his review materials diligently kasi minsan dagdag points yun para bawiin ung grades momore

He defo knows his OrgChem and he’ll make sure he teaches it in a way you’ll understand it yourself. I found myself learning more from his onsite discussions than OrgChem Tutor tbh 😅 But yeah we unfortunately didnt see him during the last 3 modules (which I’d say were the 3 hardest modules of his course) which really hurt our learning momentum.
Anw, workload was just fine, I’d say it was on the lighter side pa. Very approachable too! You’ll defo learn a lot from him but just keep in mind that it’s still OrgChem so if it isn’t your strongest subject, it can get quite difficult. If ur sem goes well and the class cancellations dont happen as much as it did for us, i think it’s B to B+-able with effort. A if ure a spawn of Godmore
