Sir Leland is a GOATED PROF

Was initially super scared of his class bc of the reviews I’ve seen about him here, but after finishing DEV 100.1, I would say Sir Leland is a GOATED PROF. Life changing. If you ask me anything development related rn, my answers would definitely be what I’ve learned from his class. It really does stick w you. His classes can be boring but he records and upload every single session so you can always revisit and listen to the lectures on your own :)) Sir Leland is also very accommodating and replies to any queries promptly (both online or in person)! Survival tip for assessments: Know every single part of your assigned reading BY HEART. Skimming doesn’t work. Go through it 4-5 times if you will. If you can talk about the reading, connect it w the lectures and diff schools of thought with your eyes closed, then you’d probably get an A in your assessments. AND!! Sir Leland does not take BS input— he’ll clock you out so dont ever try to 😬 In conclusion, DEV 100.1 with THE LELAND DELA CRUZ is one of those courses you’ll need in ur entire uni life. Very challenging but definitely life changing. Would choose Sir Leland to be my prof over and over again tbhmore

as a person shifting out of ds who took sir leland, he’s definitely passionate about what he teaches! my low grade was definitely on my side because i was very new to all of the concepts he taught ;; for requirements, there are 3 basic assessments and you can choose whether you’re going to do orals / written exam (sir requires you to take at least one oral exam)more

Not sure with ds101 but for other subjects i took under him, experience with requirements - straight to the point for essays and don't forget to prove and support with examples. Recite a lot too! He engages the class a lot. Kakaenjoy kasi ang dami niyang side kwento, pero ang galing kasi madalas connected naman sa lesson. Hahamore

I had him for a different DS class, but in general, the best advice I can give you is that you must think critically. Don't bola your answers by the way, he likes things to be direct to the pointmore
