Hi! Apologies for the long awaited (wow) review about him, tinapos lang finals but eto na 😅 but I would like to add for context that I had him with another prof so bale hati sila sa sem and I only had him from January to late February and then during the last synthesis session na
- Relatively light workload, the only actual requirement we actually had under him (bc ung iba was under our other prof na) was an essay and he graded relatively high naman! Just make sure to use the concepts he taught in class from the readings and consult with him, he gives time naman during class to ask him stuff
- But other reqs we had were two podcasts, the final art, an art exhibit, and the final paper (idk if this will change if solo lang siya)
- He wants the class to be very engaged with the discussions so mahilig siya magparecite and he really takes note of it when you do (Like as in everytime u recite he takes note of it and its part of the overall grade too so recite!! Its not intimidating naman and he’s really kind w/ ur answers as long as u try)
- Lots of in class group activities as well, not any that are hard naman they’re really just to gauge how much the class is learning and if kaya maapply yung natutunan from readings
- He’s very chill tho and very up to date with ganaps, he even asked us what we thought about the grammys 😆 He’s pretty young so he gives gen z vibes talaga!
- His passion for what he teaches really bleeds through his discussions! He really knows his shit
- Overall a really good prof! I’d say he’s good for a heavy sem as well since the class was pretty chill. I would genuinely take him again if I could, and I’d say he’s A-able rin as long as you recite and show consistent effort!more

i also had the same concern before going into artap, but throughout sir dormiendo’s class, there’s a lot less pressure to create. his art ap class focuses more analyzing and engaging with art!! it’s a super interesting class, and sir dormiendo as a prof is equally as fun :> as far as creative outputs go, the final project is the only thing you’ll need to get creative for, but it’s something that sir will help you build out throughout the sem through consultations :> other outputs include essays and group works (podcast and presentation). best of luck,! i hope you have fun :DDmore

Hi op! Had him for ArtAp this sem and I gotta say u don't have to worry that much! He's genuinely a good prof and I found his lectures very engaging. Just make sure you catch up with the readings as well. He also does a lot of groupworks so bear that in mind nalang! In terms of grading he's pretty lenient naman as long as you follow what you learned in class.
Overall B+/A-able!!!more
