Easiest A ever AHAHAHAHAHHA Generally: 1. He isn't strict sa recits. Tho recits are part of your grade -- he'll give you a lot of opportunities to make bawi (don't abuse it or wait till the end of the sem tho). He encourages critical thinking and your personal critique of labor law and legislation + thoughts on labor issues. -- non-traditional law prof <3 2. Bro doesn't even need a ppt to teach -- he will structure the discussion and recit based on the assigned readings for that week and then he'll end up expounding on your recit answers and giving sample "what ifs" na examples and ask what applicable labor law concept is best seen/applied. Napaka-engaging niya pramisss 3. Everything is by group (although recits are individual and the final paper can be done individually)--get good groupmates for extra measure. 4. You're in good hands because he's super understanding + one of the top notchers of the 2022 bar. He really knows what he's teaching + my notes for his class are super organized bc napaka-ayos yung flow ng discussion niya. 5. Once you reach the midpoint of the sem -- y'alls will just be meeting once a week. The other day for econ law is dedicated for reading the cases. 6. Reading x Recit tip: Just focus on the facts and the SC decision and relate mo sa topic ng module. 7. Dedicated 40 mins of a session (one time) talking about Law School admissions +tips. 8. Very vibes -- pls take him as ur IE elective HAHA CON: - Replies to email medj late, though just bump him lang. ----END---- add pa kayo plzz (if needed pa HAHAHAHA)more

take this with a grain of salt since this is his first time teaching this class and i'm still taking it! so maybe the next batches might have a very different experience in terms of workload and pacing, it's VERY lenient and light. i once submitted a paper very late and still received a perfect score 😅 as a prof he's super chill - i think he said that he won't deduct as long as he hasn't started checking yet? but it varies probably he also has medj lots of stuff on his plate so he really doesn't hold class a lot 😭 i honestly dont remember the last time we had class i think it was a month ago huhu but imo he's not very engaging as a prof and is the type not to use more than 3 slides or any at all, but from the moments where i didn't zone out he had some good insights and teachings naman in terms of course content, it's interesting naman since "just transitions" is a new concept and gamboa is one of the leading thinkers (thinkers?!?!?) in the field daw? but im not sure the lectures live up to the readings (which are pretty good naman and will introduce u to a lot of global climate strategies, theoretical frameworks for systems transitioning etc.) tldr; get him if u want a no brainer petiks easy A, don't get him if u want ur tuition's worth 😭more

Took him for this sem! General thoughts: he’s a good professor!! I learned a lot about law and labor from him. But there may be areas that can be improved Teaching Style: Intro to Law School but more open to mistakes, not strict, and really focuses on the learnings of the student. He’s a big fan of the Socratic Dialogue so the whole class will follow that. You learn through recitations (every session is recits just like law school). It can be nerve wracking during the first sessions pero you eventually enjoy it, especially once you realize na sir doesn’t care much about how much you memorized, but how much you understand. Recitations are open notes. He teaches as the recitation goes. He explains concepts if the students are starting to deviate from his recit questions. Grading and Requirements: you have papers where you have to explain certain situations (or movies) and apply jurisprudence. We only really got our scores of the first group paper so I still don’t have a general idea of how he grades. But the paper has to be comprehensive. For the recits, he’s lenient. Once you formally recite 3 times, you already get an A. So maging pabida ka to get that.more

A-able for sure!! Would say he grades pretty high! Make sure to get good groupmates since most/all of the work for the class will be done w that group. Also try as much as you can to recite and participate in his lectures to get the full recit points! He’s chill and not scary naman when it comes to recit, he just really wants to see how you understand the topics more than the correctness/accuracy of your answers 🙂 overall super great prof and class!! 😊more

hi, i beadled for his class last sem (2024-2025, second semester). sir's super nice and his class definitely feels like a law class but way more chill because recits are open notes. for our requirements, we only had to do a policy brief (30%) and 2 group papers (40%). he grades relatively high as long as you do a lot of research and mix econ and law well. he will explain things very thoroughly and replies fast to inquiries. definitely take him if you want a fun, chill, engaging, and interesting electivemore
